Ash will be in forever. He is seriously one of the most popular characters over there, to the point that his projectile is used in the icon of the games now. (seriously, check the icon in the trailer man, the green thing is Ash Crimson's projectile move.)

but in Japan they are big on like metrosexual & homosexual guys like no other, so it isn't really surprising. i mean, they LOVE benimaru, and benimaru is the most homosexual character I have ever seen in a fighting game next to ZANGIEF. not that its a bad thing its just weird because he doesn't stand out at all as being COOL or even UNIQUE, he's just this PRETTY BOY WITH ELECTRICITY. i mean at least terry bogard has the unique abilities of engrish, able to shoot a basketball into a hoop from any distance, and able to tell the measurements of any woman at a glance.

benimaru is just PRETTY BOY WITH ELECTRICITY and Ash Crimson is like a more metrosexual possibly gay Kain R. Heinlein.

Wow. Really? Zangief you consider one of the most flaming? He doesn't have any gay characteristics (besides being muscular, which is apparently SUPER GAY in japan!?!?!?!). What about Rafael from Soul Calibur? or Bridget from Guilty Gear? or or even Rasputin from World Heros, who literally pulls off his robe and molests the opponent in a ring of flowers????

Zangief isn't flaming or anything, DN is just biased because Zangief IS homosexual.

Ash is in because the current story arc revolves around him stealing powers and stuff. Iori probably won't be in since, iirc, Ash stole his powers in XI. But who knows.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is most likely coming to the PS2, PS3, and 360 (though prolly just the last 2, it saw a ps2 release...) theoretically with GGPO in it since Capcom has the license for it. (and because I read somewhere Alpha 2 and Alpha 3 is being re-released on consoles with it too, this seems like a GGPO-buffed release.)

It's also got a new thing in the ESRB for PS3 and 360, too, with a rating and all..so yeah..it's been played and tested. (same for Alpha 2 and Alpha 3, actually) (although A2 and A3 is for PS3 & PSP only as far as I can see)

This also makes a chance for MvC3 even more likely since Marvel is obviously willing to let them resell the game, and has mentioned they want to collab, so that's always a possibility.

btw, they also took the ESRB rating down entirely. Not just the 360/PS3 versions, it doesn't list the DC/PS2/XB rating either. So basically, they removed the entire MvC2 entry in an attempt to cover it up.

if they were considering a re-release for the ps2 maybe they were considering using the dreamcast's arcade perfect version hmm??

wishful thinking but still even non-arcade perfect mvc2 using ggpo quality connection will be rad.

They probably won't enhance the sprites, it has taken them ages to make an HD Street Fighter 2, with a game that has 500x the moves and well over 5x the amount of characters, it could take a long long time.

It'll most likely be arcade perfect so no removing animations or anything. There's no reason for it NOT to be, considering it was perfect on the DC afaik, and the PS3/XB360 are more than powerful enough for it.

the graphics are pretty top notch for a 2-d fighter so I don't see why they would enhance the sprites.  new music would be real nice though.

if they rebalanced it like they did sfhd that would be a fucking spectacle and everyone in the fighting game community would make like they were on a permanent sugar high.
