the best way to train is to play against people, you're still wrong.

this is true no matter what the skill or game is.

Quit Trying to argue with me.

I AM saying you should train with people, if they're around.
The CPU thing is only a suggestion against training online.

no, you should train online! people use different tactics. AIs dont spam moves or know cheap attacks. you absolutely SHOULD train online or you will get better against COMPUTERS, not people.

I apologize to Mateui and halibabica for the massive lag. :<
That and my lack of communication through taunts, all I have is "Pingas" and no one wants to see that, heh.
It was fun though.

I have a bunch of "waiting for registration" or whatever, but that's understandable, I'm pretty quiet around here.
:EDIT:
Just updated my list, so I've added everyone so far.

Posted a strategy topic in the Saikyo Dojo with information pertaining to glitches and movement and such that could be useful to anyone who wants to get better at the game. I'll also try to update it later or tomorrow with some of the character specific shit I know already.

Sarhan, feel free to link it in the OP if you want. Also you still need to add me to MSN/AIM.

It wasn't fair that all I had to do to unlock all characters was to beat the subspace emissary and beat 10 missions to unlock wigglybaggs. :P I can't stand how mario plays now. He's dead to me. Luigi checks good, still, but I don't like G&W's midair A move anymore. For me, it'll either be Dedede, ROB, Ike, or Diddy. Diddy's kinda hard to play with, but the others seem to kick an insurmountable amount of ass with the ease that comes to getting KOs with Marth (Sarhan). It's easy to say you're badass when your character wins for you, but at least Marth is a little harder to play with this time around. I like his darting charged air B. I can't wait to get a router so I can get in the loop.

EDIT: Nevermind. I played with Diddy utilizing his slip advantage from the projectiles: This shit is .

Fair enough. You're right. That was douchey and I'm sorry I said it. Sorry if I offended anyone and I promise not to do it again.

Anything else?

I dunno, I think being haughty is pretty cool. Like when I get Brawl and destroy everyone I will post like "heh so is there anyone good here?" and then take off on my motorcycle spraying mud all over everyone in video & computer games.

you said NO ONE POSED EVEN A CHALLENGE EXCEPT THIS GUY AND I WON 60% OF MATCHES WITH HIM, it's pretty fucking douchey, sorry. it's not TALKING TRASH, it's being a dick to everyone you played with so far who wasn't furiously tallying up their win loss ratio.
Didn't you win GW's biggest asshole award? If not, then you were certainly nominated and weren't far from winning. Oh, the irony.  :fogetbackflip:

EDIT: Yeah, you won by a landslide.  :fogetlaugh:

Mario's new down+b, my brother discovered, can send Mario backwards a little bit when trying to recover, and can also edgehog characters trying to recover from being smashed forward off of the stage. It also stops your opponent from running towards you at full blast; maybe it can help in the mindgame. His new midair down+a actually is pretty powerful at the end, much like Dr. Mario's from Melee. Anyway, he's still dead to me.

I think Ike's charged forward smash B and his AAA combo makes up for his speed, especially the mindgame made when spamming his first couple of A's in the combo. You can always press AA, then something else. n00b tip.

Also, Toon Link is 10x more broken than Young Link was in Melee.
If you don't think Young Link was broken in Melee, try fighting someone
who actually devotes themself to playing with him only for 3 straight years.
I was subjected to such death until Brawl came out, then the Young Link
player preceeded to pound me into powder with Toon Link after just picking
up the controller for the first time.

Well, I've got everyone registered from the list on the first page, but only 4 of those people seemed to have added me. (Which is a little disappointing... ADD ME!!!)

Anyway, I've been practicing a lot with Olimar lately and he's pretty great. I like his style since I like having the pikmin do the dirty work for me as I evade and run around.

Yeah, I added EVERYBODY but there are still a lot of people who haven't done the same to me. Sarhan, you said you added me, but it still says awaiting registration. 1891-0832-4255, right?

Haha, Mateui, I'm glad someone else likes Olimar. Have you realized his throws automatically go BOTH ways? That and his amazing range makes him great for smashes/throws, and his aerials are powerful.

Also Stuntkid I'm not pressing on Wario or anything, but he's one of my best characters hands down. You just gotta get him in the air, and he's unstoppable. He has as much air control as Jiggs did in Melee, so you should like him.

Also, comicsoul, I think he got a lot better. His up-B has great horizontal recovery now, and his down midair A hits twice and is like Toon Link's. All of his moves were strengthened, and he might be the only one who's speed hasn't changed from Melee. Plus, his neutral air hits like five times and the last time has some good knockback, if you hit it right. So does his back air (turtle).

Damn I love this game.

Wario is definitely awesome. He can be pretty strong and he's fun as hell to play as.

Plus, Wario Man is a beast. I don't know why you'd be in a hole, but if you are and you can activate it, just do so and you can FLY by spamming air moves. It's so fucking fun.

Though I'm probably not picking a main until I have the game myself.

I've added everyone that's posted their FC to my friends list so if you've added me and it says it's still awaiting registration, PM me and I'll re-add you.

I've updated the first post with a link to Raziel's Brawl strategy thread, which can be found here. Check it out if you want to improve your game, contribute info, or just post some gameplay videos. I'll be stopping by over there to offer some tips and intermediate techniques the next time I get a chance to sit down and type a lot.

So Halibabica and Sarhan just kicked me around for a bit.

I have so say Halibabica was more embrassing because he literally went through the characters in order and beat me with most of them. I still can't find a good way to counter ZSS.

I'm didn't play much of the game for the 64, and I played melee for a little while. This game I am starting to take more seriously, though. Still, I'm not too good, but add me anyway!
