Flagged levels are all the places you're missing stuff.  Just go into each level with a flag and explore very thoroughly.  Find all the trophies and the gold boxes with items in them (the blue ones don't count).  Also, the Great Maze is divided into quadrants, so if some parts have flags and others don't, you can limit your search to those areas.

The reason guides say you should have 97% is that three secrets don't appear until you beat Tabuu (they're for the characters that never played a role in the story).

I don't use him very much anymore, but when I DO, I can't figure out how to always get 4 hits with the Dancing Blade.  Sometimes I get 4, and other times I only manage to get 2 and it leaves me wide open for a counter-attack.

How can you make sure you always get four hits?  Is there a certain timing to it?  I'm guessing it's not just hitting the buttons really quickly because I tried that...

The best way to always get the full combo is to manually input the directions and not just mash B after the first side B.

So you go side B, stick to neutral, side B, stick to neutral, up/down/side B, stick to neutral, up/down/side B. Do it fast but not TOO fast and it should work fine online and offline.

It's true tho Falcon, D3, Yoshi and Mario are all contenders for the bottom of the barrel, while the others won't probably hit the middle of the mid tier from how they've been performing. Mario and Yoshi got nerfed to hell, moreso than any other characters in the game.

Well, I could care less about tiers, in fact here is a little thing known as "TR4Q" "TIERS R 4 QUEERS" I don't give a crap who is bottom or top tier, I use whatever character I like, deal with it, and happy smashing.

When players like myself like to use Yoshi, Mario etc, and there are people like you who use the higher "tiers" like Falco, and Marth and says teir, I yell TR4Q the great motto and bash you on the head with the Wiimote, the Nunchucks, the Gamecube Controller, stab you in the eye with the game cube controller battery, for more information watch Smash Kingdom Melee on Newgrounds, and you'll understand and I totally agree with this little statement.

Man, get the sand out of your vagina, I just made a simple comment about how all the characters you played were low or bottom tier. Hell, I play low tiers pretty much all the time in Melee (G&W is actually my main) as well as a bunch of other games (Hokutomaru in Garou, Cammy in Super Turbo, Ky in GGXX and so on and so forth). I just found it kinda funny really.

And whatever your take on tiers is, they still exist and you can't deny that. It's not like they're a MAGICAL FAIRY THING the competitive scene made up to make fun of non-competitive players since the days of SF2, it's just there because there's no way any game ever except chess (and even then chess does have "tiers" in the way of different plays and playstyles) can be completely balanced as that would imply that every character in the game has the same amount of options and things they can do. Granted, Brawl is different in that way because the number of universal systems to use is pretty high and they removed a lot of stuff that made the good characters in Melee even better (L-cancel, wavedash/waveland, etc) so tiers don't matter as much as they did in the first two outings of the series, but they're still going to be there.
