Unforunately this isn't the first time someone has been attacked by the way this wish to dress and their lifestyle. And it won't stop until people grow up.

here in america those two would be thought of as "cool" and the teenagers would probably proceed to stomp on the nearest homeless guy, a homosexual, or anyone wearing a christian cross around their neck.

But, how can someone with a cross around their neck be beat up? I thought crosses were like, magical holy shields from Jesus?

Actually goth is the new geek so no...

But being geeky is apparently cool these days. (Although some people don't realize it.)

All these people text messaging and using computers and stuff... Back in the day, only geeks would've utilized such technology and would've been the only ones highly fascinated with it.

Now you see all these commercials for these popular chicks IMing their bff jills...

being a minority went out of fashion at the turn of the century and now emo and alternative is going out of style too.  the biggest fad right now is being a self proclaimed atheist  liberal that viciously satirizes and attacks anyone who thinks differently yet is too dumb to realize the irony in their actions.

Curiously, I witnessed a young gothic "emo?" female at the mall one day, much as one normally would.  What separated this particular sighting was the fact that she was sitting right next to a little blue-haired old lady.  The old woman was knitting, and the young woman was looking sullen and depressed, as per usual.

I wish I was carrying a camera.  It would be like those photos of the kittens sleeping on the large dog.

Duedeydudeydudey the whole retarded athiest=thebest crap only really happens online and in school. And seriously they are still vastly outnumbered. Don't turn this into a "christians are the new victims".

It's appauling how people are attacked over their apperance let alone killed. Unfortunately people are stupid, so it'll keep happening.

"popular kids/cool kids" who hook up and/or play sport will always be the most "popular" stereotype...ALWAYS. emo is a distant second at best.

I fucking challenge you to show even a modicum of similarity between violence directed at homeless and gays and at christians.

Also I go to a college where the big thing is being counterculture (hipsters yay!!!).

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

You are kidding if you think wearing a Christian cross makes you a target.

Unless you count some teen whining online about it being a target.

ESPECIALLY when comparing them to homosexuals and homeless, when homosexuals are being constantly beat up by the people wearing the Christian crosses where I live (we don't have many homeless, or rather not many that are out on the streets available to be beaten up...I'm sure we DO have plenty of homeless somewhere)

No one was saying this about this attack.  People were saying that in America, a goth (or other people even) would probably attack someone with a cross necklace.

From what I understand about how you people talk about this, Goth culture is really
weird in America. Either that, or you're just being stereotypical.

This is gay, but hey, it happens all over the globe. exxeptanzz iz 4 l0z0rzzz.

Freakz.

I live in Lancashire/Merseyside and I have to say, if you don't have a skinhead around here then you're highly susceptible to attack from the 90% population of violent shaven-head pricks wearing tracksuits, wondering the town drunk as skunks late as night with the only intention of getting into a fight.

I am so glad I went to uni down South.
