Share them; they're usually pretty funny. I'll start:

- If you went into traffic circles (roundabouts?) you had to stay there, circling, until you run out of gas. Don't ask :<
- If you hit the gas together with brake at the same time, the car exploded.

I probably have more, contrary to expectation I don't really remember them right now. Will post later if they come back.

When we traveled by airplane to an other country, i used to believe that the country was above us, in the sky >.<

Haha, I used to believe that I had an extra set of eyeballs (hint-being a guy). A friend had also convinced me that all babies were born male and if the parents wanted a girl then the doctor just pushed everything back into the body. 

I thought little gnomes ran the stoplights.

I also used to believe in Sinterklaas. I even pulled off thinking the two rather different people playing him (one dutch, one belgian) were the same person (namely Sinterklaas, damnit), despite very obvious discrepancies like where he lives, what his horse is called, how many people he employs, and whether he visits the dutch Sesame Street or not.

I also also used to think gnomes were just a myth. Now I know better!

I used to believe different countries lived on different planets, like I thought the American Indians lived on Mars and Africians lived on the sun.
