I posted once and got banned because my game contained resources that Dark_Priest made and he was a Gamingw member.

I remember about a year or two back I tried to register at GGZ and because of my reputation on GW my registration was never completed. I've been around since 2000 and was a member of Dark Dominion(old ass RM site which would later be known as Dev Empire). When I came to GW however........I went under the name GameCriticboy and from then on all hell broke loose. When I went to other forums people already knew who I was because some member from another site informed them of how I(as they put it)bash others games. Heh....me.......bashing games.........lol! Ludicrous.......

dark dominion was cool because it was one of the first sites to feature project hosting... but it ended up being used for ff7 fan games and porn.

Oh man this topic is nostalgic. When I first saw GW, I didn't like it, preferred some other website. Then I realized the resources were sweet, and the tutorials helped me. After a while I joined the forums as Master Mog, a dumb 12-13 year old who typed like what you would expect a 13 year old would type like, got owned by SafariGoku for being stupid, and posted a lot about RM2K. I remember posting a lot in a topic about PSO, along with Kezay, NickWillNotBe (or will he?), and deluge.

The admins at the time were Bart, Mori, Faust, DP, Mr. Y and Pyrate. Those are the originals that I remember.

GW pretty much made me a lot more elitist, to the point where I can't stand a lot of other forums because people are too stupid to even be tolerated.

WIP is from the rm2k website that Bart took over so he's pretty old school.  that dude, the owner of queen's court, and several other rm2k fags are the oldest members here.

Anyway, man.. I can barely even remember GW from the 2002-2004 era, it's just a big blur to me now. I think it is mostly because, at the time, I was pretty low-key. Hell, I only managed about 900 posts in my first year and a half or something.

I remember when I was on GGZ's forums though. I had been on there for a good little while until they started acting like idiots, so I just said "fuck this" and gave out my password to everyone in #gamemaker at the time and we spammed it up. Good times..
