Most of the 'attacks' leveled your way you deserved - I would be stupid not to doubt your knowledge of the band with what you posted. However, ghastly_darklord's comment was very inappropriate and highly offensive.


For those of you who don't understand exactly how bad it is, let me transform the situation a bit for you. There have been an increasing number of random, violent attacks in the busses and subways of the American city of Philadelphia. These attacks are carried out by young black American teens on innocent individuals, often for no reason other than to hurt them. It would be as if ghastly_darklord went into a news topic covering this story and posted "quit giving white people a reason to hate blacks, you niggers."

I find it infuriating how the people here only pay attention to bigotry when it's applied to racism against American minority groups, such as blacks and hispanics. Had ghastly_darklord actually posted the above where I switched faggot for nigger, there would have been a huge uproar, followed by him getting warned and maybe temporarily banned.

At the time of this post, he has yet to be warned for his comment. A moderator even commented right after him. Bigotry against homosexuals, sexism, and racism against racial groups unknown to Americans often goes entirely unnoticed here. Replace my example quote about blacks with one about Turks or Poles, and again the comment would go entirely unnoticed. And I've seen it happen, in the 'what's on your mind' topic - a user by the name of 'PandaBear' posted some harsh generalisations of the Germanic people and their culture, apparently thinking it was okay because they're not an established American minority. Again, nothing was done about it. It probably isn't just this site, but it is disgusting, and something needs to be done about it. But this isn't to say that it's all the moderator's problem - apparently no one had reported either of these posts. I attempted to report both cases of some of the most blatant bigotry I've seen on this site, but unfortunately either my browser can't handle it or my internet was timing out. Perhaps other people have the same problem as well, I'm not aware of the situation. 

Unfortunately, now that I've spent my time typing up all of that, it has occured to me that maybe no one will see it in this dead topic, and nothing will be done about it. Could someone with a bit of a voice please draw some attention to this post, if you would be so kind?
