I think this announcement just means less corporate wankery. You cannot tell me The World Ends With You wasn't a circle jerk game. I'm 100% positive Nomura brought up his favorite writers and shit and was like "hay, lets make a game about fashion and vapid characters and shibuya and zippers. the storyline is a ripoff of gantz but all the characters will be bad stereotypes WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!"

Dude, watch the introduction. If that isn't reason enough NOT to buy the game then I don't know what is. The only reason I got it was because it looked cool (a year ago when zero information was available) and fully payed off a preorder but I seriously turned the game off after the intro.

I later played through Neku's chapter but the game still remains uninteresting. Save your cash.

Really? Considering how much more tolerant of terrible shit you are than I am, I'm surprised that got to you! I mean I found it pretty bad but even I would maybe LEAVE IT ON a few minutes to find out what the fuck the game was even about.

and for the record I do not understand at all why SE won't remake FF7 with new technology already?? they're being fucking dumb and people have been asking for it ever since FFX was released but instead they went with FFX-2 and FF12 of all things. oh, and the interest in FF7 remake eventually did result in something... a shitty movie and three shitty games that aren't remakes.

fuck SE. it's such a shitty company these days who fucking cares.

1: Is the game fun
2: Who is the game made by

Call me prejudice or whatever but if a Japanese game, especially an RPG on the DS, puts me off at the intro then I will instantly lose the will to play it.

Speaking of the remake a shit load of people still want apparently, seeing this fan made graph of Square-enix emails..

It seems the remake is still being demanded for even though they probably thought the movie and all that would have stopped this, I guess not.

i think this is what we all get for assuming all the people raving that this game was great should be given any credence at all. idk i usually disagree with these people about most games but with this one for some reason i assumed they weren't COMPLETELY WRONG like they usually are and that it was actually a pretty interesting game. my... my mistake...
