The man spent hours searching the Web for a way to go; then, after finding what he wanted, downloaded what he needed together with built a remote firing mechanism for a gun.

He set the device up in his driveway (pictured, above), placed himself in front of it, together with set the machine to kill; the machine was attached to a .22 semi-automatic pistol, which promptly fired multiple shots into the man's head.

The man apparently lived alone, together with left notes of his plans together with thoughts as he struggled to come to terms with relatives' demands to move out of his home together with into care.

Which, apparently, didn't seem all that appealing to him.

Dude it doesn't count when you MAKE the robot kill YOU. The apocalypse is when MANY robots go around killing RANDOM people.

No one cares about the 3 Laws of Robotics, they totally have loopholes that robots rape after becoming self-aware, bring on the 5 Laws plz.

And yes, I also welcome our new robot overlords, all hail .22 SA pistols

edit: also the laws of robotics suck and there should probably be 5 more of them because even 5 laws isn't enough to prevent the 2183271837128312783 loopholes there are.

You have to program them into the robot first. Robots don't just automatically follow those laws as if they're some physical law.

I'm having a hard time picturing what this guy actually built though. Was it just a gun that had something that pulled the trigger when he pushed a button, or did it actually aim itself and fire then?

I would have built a robot to push me off a very tall ledge onto a dangerous spike to impale me below (the dangerous spike is also a robot)
