It had some pretty retro levels it had going like the secret 780 degree sphere. I hope that returns, but... that'll never happen.

Well that's gay as hell. Apogee/3D Realms was one of the first garage game companies in america and I've always liked how they never took themselves or their titles too seriously. Oh well.

Santiago's right, this looks just like Doom 3. I liked that old trailer better where it looked like Perfect Dark but it had all this stupid stuff like riding the donkey and I dunno you drank beer in first person or something

It's really not that surprising. I mean, it is, because it's the END OF AN ERA but it's their own fault! You can't expect ANYONE to want to back you when you've been developing the SAME VIDEOGAME for 12 years! Take Two says in the article they had a publishing arrangement, but weren't funding development, so how the hell has 3D Realms funded this for so long? They've barely ever even released footage.

Also Drule the article says Apogee isn't affected.

WHY SO SERIOUS HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

I don't know if that means anything though. They only developed software up until 1996 when 3D Realms took over the game development as a subdivision. After that Apogee became an online distributor for old games and sort of stayed that way.

despite footage being released and everything it's entirely possible that they were never really very close to finishing the game at all or even close to a beta quality product even recently.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.
