that's the part that really fucking gets me. 40 dollars is a full price for a game (unless it's a ps3 one which is like 70 minimum but that's another thing), but all the development on the game is done. as I've said over and over, you're supporting NONE of the original creators, all of whom have left Squaresoft, and the chances they contacted the remnants of the old team and said HEY GUYS WANNA WORK ON THE PORT is laughable. this is the same game, PLUS a new dungeon made not by the original creators, and they basically have the audacity to charge full price.
will there be a small audience who, having never played the game but heard of it, will finally play it? yes.
how INCREDIBLY SMALL will that audience be? minimal.
the majority of the customers will be people who have played the game and will give Square Enix full, 40 dollar price, for a single dungeon.
most people would have the ethics not to buy and support such a flagrant example of corporate fuckery. if not the ethics, the economic sense. if not that, the general embarassment they'd feel.
NOT GAMING WORLD THOUGH.
Complaining is one thing, throwing insults at someone else because they made a different decision from you is another.
oh boo hoo someone called you a moron because you threw 40 dollars in the toilet and helped push the industry into the shitter even further. if the shoe fits, champ.
