yeah, el capitano mentioned it in his shoegaze topic but only briefly, and I love shoegaze so I decided to check them out and they're pretty amazing. I really like the vocals and I don't feel as if I'm listening to ANIME MUSIC VIDEO or whatever.
Also, both japanese and english lyrics are good, so that's a bonus, I guess.
aaand I think they're using the image of a japanese lead singer to sell themselves as a band or to try and appeal to their weeaboo audience. Only the lead singer is Japanese yet all their posters, CDs, and images all look japanese, so yeah...
Still a great band though!

Yeah but it's not Drawn, it's Traced in Air. I also got Cynic's new 08 demo which is pretty good. I hope their new album comes out before the gig. To be honest though, I'm more hyped for The Ocean than Cynic though. Focus is a great album and I have liked what Cynic members have done since then. Portal demo was very cool and Aeon Spoke isn't too bad either. The new material sounds promising but seriously, Precambrian by The Ocean is easily one of my favorite metal albums ever, and their other two albums are very good too. It's going to be fantastic to see Cynic live just because of what they have done for metal but I do prefer The Ocean.

ladiesman, i was about to ask you about the random child-pilot-singer-dancer-army-twins, but then i saw the video below it... I had to check if i was on mushrooms...

water curses is a really cool song, i've never heard it before. house of the rising sun is always a pleasure! how does that small dude have such a low voice!?

Flowerpower: YES!!° Holy fuck are awesome. they opened for metric when i saw them a little while ago and were super cool.
check out the song royal gregory if you can. i couldn't find any good versions on youtube, but its a wicked song if you can find a recording of it.
