isnt he a recovering heroin addict? is anyone really shocked that the crazy druggy can't remember his incomprehensible lyrics? sometimes i'll hear an odd smith show where he just forgets the lyrics and the audience has to yell them at him, and his made sense.

question: was volta ever any good? cuz people like RAVE about them but i checked out their last album and idk it seemed pretty poor to me. is their earlier stuff any better?

tremulant deloused and frances are all pretty good. everything after that you prolly need to be a fan to appreciate. some of omars solo stuff can be good too (sounds just like the mars volta) but its hit and miss

yeah in some of frusciantes shows hes forgotten how to play or the lyrics to a song, and people have yelled out the chords and the lyrics to him

also yeah iirc omar and cedric are both recovering heroin addicts. then again i dont think anyone cares about cedrics lyrics anyway, i wouldnt even notice if he messed them up prolly

i quite like the vocals on some tracks, though, even if i don't give a shit about the lyrics. by any traditional metric, he's an awful singer and can't even hold the notes he writes for himself half of the time but i like them in the same way i like a lot of early frusciante vocals. theyre chaotic and kind of terrible but they add something, i think.

i wouldnt call them melodies lol. like i dont like his voice in the traditional HUH...NICE MELODY kind of way. i mean it sounds like a dying animal but sometimes it's a good sound.
