i was bored by it.  i'm a fan but aaaaa i listened to the whole thing but it was just kind of forgettable electronic kind of stuff.  idk

yeah this exactly, except by electronic you mean synth stuff? the whole album was really bland and not very yeah yeah yeahish in my opinion! to me their sound is characterised by sort of simple but strong instrumentation and it's karen o's chant/sing talking that prevents them from being really generic. dull life was the only song off of this that i remember that really fit the sound of theirs i like and even then there was this stupid guitar solo in there that i just felt i had heard a million times

the album felt a lot more layered and the singing was a lot more song like instead of the punchy beats and weird voice that set them apart! it's like if the knife released an album where the singer hit all the notes and the backing was made with a newer version of fruity loops.
