I saw Boxcutter spin at Decibel Festival 2009 in Seattle.  Not as good live as I was hoping, but Arecibo Message was my album of 2009 for sure.  I wish more Dubstep DJ's would try and break the barriers of the genre instead of just putting out wobble-fests.

Edit: haha I think I've actually heard that furry thing before. There are a bunch of videos of people playing fast electronic shit on that PC game that's like DDR except with keyboards and it's mostly real stuff like Squarepusher etc. and this FLASHBULB guy who I guess is pretty popular in that sphere of music but he seems like a douche. But yeah among the videos there was something like that kitsune song and I'm pretty sure all these people are obsessed with DDR (meant as a blanket term for any rhythm-type game)

that song actually started ok though until he added like, additional elements to it, then it was like just layers of awful added on every 30 seconds. But I'm pretty sure the sole intent of the music is entirely DDR videogam shit and nobody actually listened if it sounded good

edit: that's right also when I was hanging around last.fm for any given breakcore group there was at least one or two furries leaving comments and eventually I developed like furrydar or something. It might just be as simple as 'for every perfectly serviceable word in English use the japfag version" but I dunno

I love how much that track like doesn't 'get' that whole genre of music though, it's like all videogam (except I can't think of any videogame music that was actually that hyperactive and retarded, the best equivalent is somebody doing Megaman music really bad) the lyrics also remind me of someone doing anime dub voices on purpose

haha I was going to add at one point I was a fag listening to nothing but .nsfs and .spcs all the time but I was probably 13 when that happened, that music feels like somebody never broke out of that phase and never listened to any other music even as an incidental thing and like never made any effort to INTERPRET music at all at any point in their life and then made some music. The closest thing is like happy harcore/drum and bass and while I'm not saying it's necessarily good music it has a distinctive sound and they're just not very good at even making it sound like what it's supposed to be
