I used to focus on their album Diary, thinking nothing beyond that would have any merit, but I really enjoy The Rising Tide and other later albums. If you can get over the melancholy, it's got a beautiful sound. I would compare some of their songs to Mew, actually.

Youtube? These videos were around on Albinoblacksheep when I was like a freshman in high school. Pretty sure it predates youtube entirely.
