Are you guys kidding when you keep saying "Sega should come back"? Have you stopped to think about how many exclusive games EA could get on their consoles? I'm not just talking sports games here; they own a few big name companies and would easily stand a chance in first party development.
As for companies that EA has bought (and the games/series those companies are most known for) we've got:Criterion Software (Burnout)
Digital Illusions CE/DICE (Battlefield 1942/Bad Company, Mirrors Edge)
Maxis (The Sims, Spore)
Bioware (Mass Effect, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights.... you've heard of Bioware before, right?)
Pandemic Studios (Starwars: Battlefront, Mercenaries)
EA has also bought some other companies and then shut down their studios, here's a few of those as well:Bullfrog Productions (Dungeon Keeper, Populous)
Origin Systems (Ulitma, Ultima Online)
Westwood Studios (Command & Conquer)
Basically, my point is that EA has the games to back up a system, if they wanted to make one. Remember that these games are in addition to all the other ones EA makes themselves.
