Mannnn it took me forever to find a girl who would willingly go with me to see this movie, every girl I asked was like "wtf is a terminator, lets go see obsessed." I finaly tricked one into seein it and I thought this movie was shit, pure shit, I think terminator three was more fun to watch than this.

Thank god I had a girl to make out with because I would have fallen asleep hardcore, I really want my money back. I cannot express in words how shit this movie was.  I think I would have to link to to a google image search for the word shit, and that would not come close to showing you how disapointed I was in this film. I was really hyped about this, who directed this film? does he understand that movie is suppose to entertain me first before it tries to do anything else? This woulda made a killer book though!

well mcg directed it and he's probably the last person i'd ever trust to make a movie but i think you're overreacting a bit! if you think terminator 3 was better than this movie (or any movie really) then we must have not seen the same movie!

this movie spoiled one of the plot twists in a trailer that I didn't even go out of my way to see (I think it came on during DOLLHOUSE or some shit), and has giant robot and lots of dumb shit, I don't know why you're hating on one and not the other. I haven't seen it but I read the plot and I've seen the trailers and yeah what's got you so anti-Terminator 3 and not this shit?

the dumb giant robot was only dumb because they didn't send it into the past to get Connor. Otherwise it wasn't that big of a deal, except to pull a plot point. The normal Terminators were 'scarier' than the giant robohomo

but yeah is skynet charging by the time travel? if the issue is no record of Sarah Connor exists, why not send one terminator back, any terminator, find out where she is somehow, and bury a box in a construction yard for skynet to unearth? then even if you have some established events clause you can keep sending terminators one after another.

I bet that would only make Sarah Connor eventually proficient at killing Terminators. Like, if they sent back 50 Terminators at once and they all attacked at once, it might be hard for the police to not notice, and thus the army. And thus the eventual deactivation of Skynet entirely.
If they kept sending a constant stream of Terminators, I dunno! Either Sarah Connor would learn real quick to kill them easily, or die before the cancer gets her. Either way, she'd have constant proof that Machines were after her when in the mental institute she wouldn't end up in. Maybe they only sent a few machines back to keep her on edge or something. W/E Continuously sending back Terminators would mean little to no plot progression anyway. That's more the point than killing Sarah/John Connor anyway.

Well I only ever saw terminator 1 so I watched 2 and that doesn't sound much more hokey than the stupid buddy movie shit in T2 where young john connor taught the killing machine what it is to cry.

I'm half way through 3: RiSe Of ThE mAcHiNeS right now and it doesn't seem much worse than the originals. When the pretty lady terminator swelled up her boobs for the police officer I thought oh god what am I watching but it's ok as far as dumb explosion blockbusters go. They even had a magnificent opportunity to say "come with me if you want to live" and they didn't, maybe they will later. I'll be surprised if there's no ill be back before the end

terminator 2 ruled, 3 was terrible. it had all these stupid ONE LINERS all over the place and idk, was just dumb! the whole FEMBOT thing was stupid too. the guy who played john connor was a terrible actor and idk, it just didn't have the GRITTINESS that the first two had. i realize the first two had one liners but they were well placed and weren't cheesy as fuck.

*arnold puts on feminine sunglasses, looks at camera and says "I'll be back."*

yeah the second one had John Connor remove the chip that stopped the terminator from learning (or something like that) and so they could teach it to act more human, not kill everyone and blend in to the environment more. Obviously this led to a few humouress events. Terminator 3 didn't really understand this reasoning and just put stupid things without purpose (like arnie stamping on the sunglasses that he doesn't like)

i didn't think T3 was all that bad. i really liked the skynet rebellion in the military base and the fembot killing off all the lieutenants

terminator has the worst time travel logic though. i thought skynet was supposed to be a supercomputer, not rone rivendale with a cpu

yeah, the first one is definitley way more gritty in that there isn't much comical relief (accept the 80s feel to it which actually cracks me up), but T3 is just way more obvious and way more 'knowing' in it's humour than T2 imo.

Agreed. I enjoyed the movie for what it was---a flashy action movie---but the ending was pretty lame. I also didn't really like how they did some things that didn't really jive with previous Terminator movies.

Like, magically the machines know who Kyle Reese is and what he looks like, despite the fact that the only machine who would have this knowledge was destroyed (i.e.: the Terminator from the first movie). Second, even if they did know what he looked like, they'd only know what he looked like as an adult, not as a teenager. Finally, since they know who he is, they just grabbed him out of the line at Skynet, instead of tattooing him and throwing him into a work camp (which is what he says happened to him in the first movie, when Sarah Connor asks him about his "holocaust tattoo").

Also, Common is a fucking terrible actor. Stick to rapping, dude. Stick to rapping.
