All I have left to say is: Fuck.
Poor guy... You had a head to head matchup with one of the teams that you were competing against for that 4th and final Playoff berth, and you lost it. It was a close game though and could've went either way... But anyway:

Final Regular Season Standings:[/u]

As the regular season winds down, many were still battling for the final 2 Playoff berths right up until the last regular season game. There were 6 deadlocked teams fighting for 2 berths, but only 2 could make it.
In the first pivotal matchup, the once upon a time doormat, Dirtsheet (8-6-0) edged one of the favorites to make the Playoffs, Shinobars (7-7-0) by a score of 46-40, who up until the final week, had a solid lock on a Playoff spot but finished the regular season in a very disappointing fashion by dropping 2 straight. The Baltimore defense and Jason Hanson (Lions Kicker) came through to the clutch for Dirtsheet, providing him with a surprising 26 combined points. Drew Brees tried to keep Shinobars afloat by amassing 16 points but players like RB Desean Jackson and TE Dustin Keller underwent awful games that cost Shinobars his last shot at a Playoffs berth.
Although Dirtsheet did clinch a Playoff spot, he did so with a measley 533 Point total, the worst mark in the league!
Fooseball Fiend (7-7-0) outlasted Sprankton (7-7-0) in a shootout by a score of 66-53, but both teams' Playoffs hopes dwindled as they did not amass enough wins to clinch a tie breaker. Fooseball Fiend was his own worst enemy however, losing his previous 3 games to fall out of contention and from then on out, it became quite difficult for him to clinch a Playoff berth with his point total being lower than Blades.
What started out as a promising season for one of the favourites, Blades (7-7-0) with a huge points for figure of 841 (the highest in the league even above the 1st place titan, The Immortalz), Blades went on continuous losing streaks that cost him a shot at a Playoff berth. With a devastation of the lowly Dirty Diabetics (4-8-2) by a score of 78-53, this was not enough for Blades who needed 8 wins to clinch the 3rd seed, or finish with 7 wins and not clinch a Playoff berth at all.

(3) Jotuns (8-6-0) triumphed over (2) Board of Education (9-5-0) by a score of 45-30, who will have a pivotal rematch in the first round of the Playoffs. Will this be a foreshadow of what's to come this week or will BoE defy the odds and bounce back from a head-to-head defeat of Jotuns in the final week of the regular season? Stay tuned for an exciting matchup this week!
(1) The Immortalz (10-4-0) surprisingly lost a meaningless game to the disappointing (9) Enlightened Posse (6-8-0), who was quite sporadic all season long by going on winning streaks and losing streaks alike. However, Enlightened Posse's inconsistent play cost him a shot at the Playoffs by 2 whole games, who had a solid points for total of 755 points but lost too many pivotal games to have a legitimate shot at the Playoffs.
(1) The Immortalz meanwhile cruised to a Playoff berth 3 weeks in advance, and looks to defeat the resurgent (4) Dirtsheet (who again has a measly points for figure of 533 - a farcry to all of the 7-7-0 teams who missed out on the Playoffs but due to Dirtsheet's superior record of 8-6-0, he qualified due to his record). Dirtsheet's Cinderella run may come to a screeching halt when he meets heavy favourite The Immortalz in a first round matchup that many say Dirtsheet shouldn't have even qualified due to his embarassing point total, but by virtue of his superior record, beat out all of the .500 teams that all had way higher point total than Dirtsheet.
Can (4) Dirtsheet perform a major upset over the juggernaut and heavy favorite (1) The Immortalz? Or will things go as expected as The Immortalz looks to annihilate Dirtsheet?
And can (2) Board of Education defeat (3) Jotuns in the other 1st round Playoff matchup in a rematch of the final regular season game which saw Jotuns defeat BoE to qualify for the Playoffs? Or will Jotuns repeat his amazing feat?
Stay tuned for some gut wrenching must see Playoff matchups this week!
