Not that it matters, but it looks like I've raped Fooseball Fiend this week. Pierre Thomas is a beast. Be happy I didn't make the playoffs, Rev, or else you'd be in deep trouble right about now. >:3

9 points from Forte!

Even though he had a pretty awful performance...

Yeah I won 61-46! This could be my year... I've been the #1 seed for the past 3 years but always got beat out in the 1st round... this time, I won my playoff matchup even when most of my guys played like shit. Dirtsheet I'm surprised didn't start the right players and defense so I got kinda lucky that he chose to start the Broncos D over the Ravens..

But hey go ahead and do this week's recap and preview for the Finals. Remember to also preview the 3rd place game as well.

I will recap the Finals next week... Congrats Jotuns and see you in the Finals!

So this is it! The final games of the season. It's been an exciting and heated match throughout, and finally it will come to a climactic end. Some teams have undergone tumultuous downfalls, while others climbed arduously to the ranks of glory, and others still, rode the waves of success all season long. All that would mean nothing, however, without the grand finale we are all about to partake in!

Immortalz (61) vs Dirtsheet (46)
Last week, the heavily favored Immortalz lay waste to the perseverant Dirtsheet in a 61 - 46 defeat. The Immortalz pulled through almost entirely with a winning performance by Steve Smith, and two excellent displays by the rather unsuspected Jets defense and Minnesota secondary running back, Chester Taylor. Is this how a championship team should look? I think so. It is calls like that that win the big games. Anybody can start Tom Brady day in and day out and hope to win, but it takes a lot more to risk who you start based on their matchups.

Jotuns (51) vs Board of Education(45)
The Jotuns finally put to rest the Board in a mirror match from last week. After securing a playoff spot with the original win, the Jotuns were hungry for more, and delivered in a 51 - 45 upset. For the Board; Roddy White, Marvin Harrison, and Ronnie Brown having less than stellar days, all but sealed his fate. Relying on a running back like Maurice Morris couldn't have helped either. The Jotuns procured a well balanced team, with Antonio Bryant and the Minnesota D leading the ranks. For a team that has done so well all season, it must hurt to be used as a stepping ladder in the last two games, but such is the ruthless game of Fantasy Football.

Notable in the consolation matches, was the ongoing decline of the Blades. A team that surely should have made it further than battling for 7th place, one can not help but feel bad for their constant misfortune. Sprankton and Shinobars will be duking it out for 5th place, astonishingly they entered the playoffs at 8th and 7th respectively.

PREVIEW GAMES

Immortalz(1) vs Jotuns(3)
For the last two years the Immortalz have been the number one seed, and have been knocked out of the playoffs the first round each time. To add insult to injury, they have lost the the third place match each time as well. Looking to put all that behind, and to claim the championship title they deserve, the Immortalz will no doubt enter this match swinging. The Jotuns already have two championships under their belts, as well as a second place victory last year. This year they are looking to keep their championship percentage over .500, and no holds will be barred.

Will the Jotuns ragtag team (comprised almost entirely of waivers of and late round draft picks) be able to hold up against the consistently dangerous roster the Immortalz have boasted all season? Only time will tell!

Dirtsheet(4) vs Board of Education(2)
Last year the Board was seeded at number two, and lost out in the first round of the playoffs. They did end up going on to claim third place, however. This year the Board is looking to maintain their third-place reign. Dirthsheet (as far as I know) is relatively new to the playoff scene, and is hoping to make a mark in the GW FF history.

That's all I got. I've run out of steam.

It's ONNNNN budday'... Sunday afternoon my eyes are gonna be glued to the screen not only for how my players but also for some key matchups that will determine Playoff teams (e.g. Dolphins, Jets and Patriots with a 3 way tie in the AFC east).

Man o man, I checked the scores today, and was surprised to see that I was down by 16. Jacobs really did a number!

I've got Grant, Forte, and Rodgers to back me up, so hopefully one of them has a phenomenal day. Except not Rodgers if his plan is to have a phenomenal day by connecting with Jennings non-stop.

It really is coming down to the wire!

P.S.
That really sucks that Warner got benched in that Arizona game. I'm assuming he got benched. I didn't get the chance to watch it.

The packers manage to blow another fourth quarter victory, but performed well enough for me to ice the Immortalz!

In a season that looked like I wouldn't even make the playoffs, I'm very grateful for my victory. The Immortalz played tough all season, and I'm glad to know that they at least got a second place title this year.

Congrats to everybody who won their last game! And thanks to everybody that made this season the most competitive in GW Fantasy Football yet.

Good season, hopefully next year my early picks won't turn out to be complete busts (had burress  and steven jackson and an overall shitty WR team ) :(

Congrats Jotuns... Huge win for you. Guess it wasn't my year but this is the highest I've finished in our 4 seasons.

I had a 16 point lead after Sunday night but I knew it wouldn't last, especially since you had Forte, Grant and Rodgers all needing to play. It was dead cold in Chi town and I knew that they'd pound the ball to the backs... Grant and Forte.

Jennings wouldn't be enough because it wasn't going to be an aerial attack in those conditions. So hey, congrats.. You prepared well and pulled an upset.

Hopefully I can rebound next year and take the next step and claim the championship.. But I have no regrets as to finishing 2nd overall in what is our most competitive season thus far in GW Fantasy Football. Seriously, this is the most fun I've had out of the 4 seasons that we've been doing this, mainly because most teams were so damn competitive and it went down to the final games to determine Playoff seedings and for the Championship as well.

So..

1st Place: (3) Jotuns

2nd Place: (1) The Immortalz

3rd Place: (4) Dirtsheet

So congrats Jotuns and even Dirtsheet for pulling in the bronze 3rd place prize! Enjoy the final regular season games... As always, EAGLES baby
