One of my mother's cousins was a backup singer to various Italian singers/performers such as Frank Sinatra and marquee performer in his own right in Steubenville around the time that Dean Martin (or as my mom's family calls him, Dino Crocetti) became really popular. He was a pretty slick cat and we have some sweet autographed photographs of him with some pretty legendary jazz musicians and its pretty cool. He was one swarthy dago though gatdam
yeah his name was Gene Arcade, but apparently he must not have been much other than a regional performer because google searching only pulls in some very obscure references on 50s and 60s music archive webpages. and image search is worthless.
