Wonder what the default homepage will be. Its kinda cool how if there's a browser bug, it'll only close the tab affected and not the whole browser.

a guy in the comic said dammit, stickin with firefox

Oh cool thanks didn't know about this.

What about duplicate tab?
i don't know what duplicate tab does it doesn't really sound useful?

but duplicate is a plugin in firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/28
Quote
Long Description

With Duplicate Tab you can copy a tab so that the copy has the same history of the original tab. A tab can be copied into a new tab or a new window.

Other features available are "Merge Windows" which moves all tabs from all windows in to one single window, and "Detach Tab" which makes a window out of a tab.
For both features you can select tabs with Ctrl+Click. This allows you to merge only the selected tabs into a window, or to detach all selected tabs as tabs in a new window.

Upon reading the entire Chrome comic, it sounds really really amazing.
Well that's their advertising team doing it's job, I suppose.  With some of the features (like the individual processes for tabs, which could either be AMAZING or HORRIBLE) it couldn't have been too hard, but still...  it's their job.

Yeah, it sounds pretty interesting. Ad-blocking is a must, though.

I'm not too partial to the name either, but whatever.

Actually I might want to wait for plug-ins and add-ons and stuff; there are things in Firefox that I take for granted but use a lot.

who said there wasn't ad-blocking? I thought mama luigi was making a joke and those articles don't make any mention of ad-blocking (except the comic which talks about it's pop-up blocker).

Because I am sure Google totally wants to support blocking the ads they have that make them money.

That's where Mama was coming from I think.

Yeah, I wish the tab bar would have been put below the address bar.

Yes, this is exactly what I was getting at. Since it's open source, hopefully the users will have some control over this sort of thing.

The layout looks nearly identical to the default Opera layout so I don't feel alienated in the slightest  :fogetshh:

yeah the tabs up top is kinda weird i hope there's an option to change that.
and i meant i mean adblocking in firefox is mostly plugin anyway and chrome will have a plugin system too i don't see why someone couldn't make adblock for chrome.

and knowing google if they were making adblocking they'd just replace all ads with google ads which i don't have a problem with especially cause a lot of the sites that use them would have fucked up layouts with out them.

I'll try it just to be curious. But the only smooth and fast browser that is acceptable on my AMD K-6 PC is K-Meleon. So I'm sticking to it.

Ad blocking has to be the most overrated feature in browser wars these days. I haven't used one for ages and haven't ever felt like the need to use one. I stumble upon an annoying ad at the rate of about once a three months and it's done with a simple click of the mouse. Ads are also the reason 90% of the big sites stay alive.

I think you're talking about pop-ups. Ad blocking would be like using NoScript in Firefox to block actual ads on the page.

I'm only gonna try it because my firefox crashes in youtube all the time.  We'll see if "Chrome" can handle the pressure.

I wonder if they record every page you go on then sell the information to advertising companies.

I must say that it is really quick, like near instant page loads. So it has that over firefox... let's see how cool it is and muck around some more.
