I sww Boondock Saints 2 and it's pretty much the perfect sequel to the first.

I didn't like the first one so much, so I wasn't that into it, but really the only complaint I have is that it seemed a lot like they used the first movie to template the second. They are THAT similar.

It was alright though. The surprise ending was pretty cool.

its already out eh.  I checked around and they aren't playing this here. Its a shame because I loved the first one when it came out.  Thank you for ruining the fact that the ending was....a surprise.....and that it was pretty cool.

For the first time in something like two months I was finally able to sit down and watch a movie, from start to end, without having to do something else while the movie was playing. I watched Carriers with the new Captain Kirk, one of the guys frow Law and Order: SVU and other people and I have to admit that I really enjoyed it. I picked it up based on the cover alone, so I was expecting horror. I'm not disappointed, but this isn't a horror film at all. In fact, I'm not entirely sure how to classify this movie. Basically, it's the story of two brothers and their clingers on who are trying to get to some beach they remember from childhood, set against the backdrop of the world ended by some virus that isn't really talked about. You see a kid in the late stages of it, and you get to see a few people in the early stages, but you don't learn more than is absolutely necessary.

If you like a thinking man's movie, or you're into character studies, I do recommend this movie.

I've also rented Farcry, Uwe Boll's latest adventure into video game destruction. . . should be interesting.
Check it out! I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year!

Got around to watching ADVENTURELAND, made by the same guys of Superbad. It was surprisingly much more mature than I thought - about a kid going to Columbia grad. school, but can't afford it due to circumstances and gets a job at guess what, Adventureland over the summer!

It seemed more of a dramedy (comedy/drama) than anything near Superbad, but that was a good thing. It was a great coming-to-age film, about disillusioned college grads stuck in that strange summer boredom we all loathe yet like. Watch it if you get the chance!

Also saw Zombieland... pretty much Left 4 Dead turned into a movie, wasn't expecting much more, pretty entertaining none the less.

I'm watching Taking Woodstock right now... seems a bit predictable but heck I'll still finish it. It was Demetri Martin, love that guy but the movie so far is pretty depressing and I feel weird since I thought it'd be hilarious.

Also, anyone else here run to rotten tomatoes after hearing people state what movies they saw recently? I'm usually more of a tv show junkie, but kinda RAN OUTTA THOSE, lol. So I'm snooping around here, and picking and choosing random movies you all saw, granted it gets a FRESH from rotten tomatoes.

I have walked out of TWO movies in my lifetime. The first one was Twilight, and the second one is "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day". Absolute tripe.

WHAT.  Why didn't I hear about this?  I'm going to look into this, Uwe Boll's projects strangely fascinate me.

i hate basing my opinions on movies before seeing them because of what score they got on rotten tomatoes, but generally they are fairly accurate, and often they'll at least let me know if something I wanted to check out was actually something worth checking out in the first place.

I'm planning on seeing The Princess and the Frog sometime just because it's been so long since Disney's done something like this (last thing I can think of is the animated bits in Enchanted, and before that.....idk Brother Bear????).

The Princess and the Frog doesn't start until the 11th. . . I plan on taking Autumn the day it opens.

Just got back from seeing Armored and I have to admit that I sort of almost enjoyed it a bit. It had its good moments, but it seemed really slow to me. I don't know. . . Every time I saw Laurence Fishburne on screen I kept thinking: "Wow, Morpheus has gone batshit insane!"

Still haven't watched Farcry yet. I'm almost scared.
