A few nights ago a bunch of the people that I am doing my internship with watched Clint Eastwood's "A fistful of dollars." I have actually never seen a Clint Eastwood movie (aside from the things that he has directed in the latter modern day) nor have I ever actually seen any of the traditional sort of spaghetti western movies of this era, let alone just about any western movie in general, so it was a bit of a new experience. While I was watching the movie, I was sort of not really expecting too much in way of the plot and whatever, and just sort of sat back expecting to have some fun and watch some tense gunfight scenes, which there a few of. As I expected, the characters are flat and the plot is pretty much abysmal and unoriginal as any sort of movie can get, but Clint Eastwood makes his badass character do pretty well (despite having pretty much no development during most of the film) and for the most part I enjoyed the movie. It was fairly well put together, or at least much better than I expected it to have been put together, considering that it was from the early 60s, but it was a pretty fun ride and I enjoyed it while it lasted.
