I was looking through spellbook on my mage the other day and I realised I'd never seen the ice lance icon before since it's never been on a bar.

According to some blizzard guy mounts are "as fast as they want them to be" now so I think in the expansion the idea is there won't be any more riding skill upgrades, just new mounts to show off with in front of the bank.

i was flying through a bunch of spikes in BEM and i really really wanted to be zooming through there, not just to get where i was going faster, but so that i could feel all ACE FIGHTER PILOT dodging those jagged peaks etc

Also after all this time I finally buckled down and got together enough gold for my 280% mount the other day, seems fast enough to me (computer's not good enough to load shit before I've passed it)

No kidding, I can't stand Outland - period. I just can't get into the whole "alien world" sort of feel it has. The only places I actually ENJOYED were Nagrand and the domes in Netherstorm because, well, they did not feel like some shit Steven Speilberg churned out, nor did they look it.

I'm definitely looking forward to Northrend though. I have a feeling I will enjoy 70-80 more than 60-70 because I'll be doing it on home soil. Azeroth. Not some fucked up alien world that, well, isn't even a world anymore.

Also Northrend probably means the burning crusade is just going to be ON HOLD or something. I want so see how they explain that away.

Kil'jaedan gets wtfpwnt in Sunwell. With him and Archimonde wtfpwned the Legion will be leaderless (and most of them killed) and will takes milleniums to regroup for a new offensive against Azeroth (because we don't care about any other world).

Also Northrend will rock. I love snowy/arctic settings.

Yeah but Killy and Archy were the big bosses. Most big organizations crumble when the big bosses go die (we also killed bunch of other leaders on the way there, like Kazzak (Death Lord Kazzak in WotLK? ​) and Magtheridon. And most of the dreadlords are hiding or dead since WC3).

For being such a vast and powerful force, the Burning Legion sure are doing a sloppy job of taking Azeroth.

They need to take a lesson from the Combine.

I hope it's all a trick and the fucking NAARU are pure evil or some over the top twist.

I need to start working on that rep for the hat ​.  I stopped doing it before because I wanted to get all my goblin engineering stuff before doing it, then never got around to it again.

also i liked outlands, probably more than azeroth except for a few good zones (feralas, azshara, stv before you got really sick of it, etc).  not so much blade's edge and smv, but i liked netherstorm and the intro zone okay, and nagrand and zangarmarsh are like two of my favorite zones. terokkar is really cool, too.  in fact, it and zangarmarsh are probably the places i've enjoyed just dicking around in the most.

The reason I don't like outland isn't because the zones themselves are bad because they're not, they're much better than nearly every azeroth zone. Design wise though TACKING ON another absolutely different world to your established fantasy world is so bad especially as a first expansion. It's emptied azeroth entirely (apart from orgrimmar, ironforge and just outside karazhan) and no amount of lore in the world could stop it feeling like they wanted to start over altogether rather than add to and improve what they'd already made.

It's not like there aren't 5 or so unreachable zones on kalimdor and eastern kingdoms and other islands besides. Just gay. Every time I go do shit in outland it feels like I'm quitting wow and playing something else.
