Yeah, this is terrible. Suicide should never be an option. Honestly, I don't know why you wouldn't just ask someone (i.e. his parents who probably cared a lot about him) for help. This is so sad, I've been hearing about all these 17-19 year olds dying recently, and it's just horrible. I just don't have words for the forum people, though. Even if it's just a 'cry for attention', don't you think it might be for a reason? Ignoring them isn't going to help them feel better.
Upon arriving the attending doctor could find no abnormal physical symptoms other than extremely dilated pupils. After spending several hours terrified that his body had been possessed by a demon, that his next door neighbor was a witch, and that his furniture was threatening him, Dr. Hofmann feared he had become completely insane.

If anyone here wants to commit suicide be sure to do it on camera with a chat so when the cops find the video/chatlog it'll look like I troll'd u to death

Depressed because someone took their own life? Heh. I don't have any sympathy for people like that. Especially ones who want to be the ultimate attention whore going out and broadcasting it. People don't usually kill themselves without warning; I'm sure somebody knew this kid was depressed or something. ::sigh:: There's a big difference between suicidal thoughts and suicide, one of these doesn't end in death.

Hasn't this already happened with some guy whose last words were "told u i was hardcore" or something. Took a bunch of substances and died online, don't know how long ago. Dummy.

that was the most horrific shit. it was her friend's MOM who faked being a boy and said YOU'RE FAT GO DIE. she's getting 20 years.
yeah wasn't the sentencing really recent? i read about the story a while ago, and i think i heard about it again just the other day.

Am I the only one who would've called the cops as soon as the kid went down?

Maybe it's cause I don't see a lot of people do this, but if someone posted a suicide note here I would definitely report it...

If he really died on the bed he should have soiled himself.  He probably passed into a coma and then his heart gave out before they could pump his stomach.

You're not the only one although suicide is ironically the #1 cause of death in the military so we have to go through like 30 suicide prevention classes a year.  I'm probably one of the few people in the world who will straight up ask a random stranger who appears depressed "Are you thinking about suicide???"

Haha, pretty interesting. I can't feel sorry for anyone who commits suicide though. It's like if they did it that's obviously what they wanted. They couldn't control it? BS. This kid could've chosen to be more mature and not get so easily offended.

Suicide is always the last resort and most people who think about it don't want to do it but they see it as the only means of escape.  Basically, when someone writes their note/complains about how shitty life is/thinks that they have no options out of whatever problem they have, it's basically their cry for help without actually admitting it.  There's some crazy statistic I read that some 90%+ of people who commit suicide always tell someone about it but they don't know how to react or don't think they're being serious.

Suicide can be easily prevented but if I walked up to any of you guys and just blurted out "Hey... I'm thinking about offing myself" your first reaction would probably be "Yeah, whatever man."

I amazed this didn't involve 4chan.

And that's when I decided to become a barber.

holy shit shut the fuck up. do you not know that SURPRISE: SUICIDE OFTEN COINCIDES WITH AN INABILITY TO MAKE GOOD DECISIONS? I seriously doubt he was all IM GONNA BE...E-FAMOUS!!!

this reminds me of the fyad topic where fishingwiththerapy posted a topic that he'd carve members names into his skin if they posted and everyone was lolling until someone took a close look and was like "holy shit guys that's not ketchup I think he's doing it" and they called the cops and he went to a mental institution.

This is absolutely horrible.  I still wonder if this could have been prevented.  There is a point where people succeed at their attempt because they really want to die, but usually (if I'm right) not before they make a few poor attempts on purpose as a last chance to get anyone's attention.  Maybe broadcasting it live was his way of trying to ensure that someone would "save" him.

I can empathize with the father of the deceased but I can also understand how many of the people online would think that it's not real. Still, it took TEN HOURS for someone to call this guy's bluff. TEN HOURS! How do you not see that the person on the other side of the camera is NOT BREATHING?!
Apparently, everybody thought that he had frozen the camera and was just pulling a prank again.

How the HELL anyone can say shit like this is beyond me. People don't kill themselves because they want to be famous. People kill themselves because they want to die. Holy fuck. They sincerely believe that being dead would be a better alternative to their life.

And the whole "oh they're just taking the easy way out" bullshit is one of the most uncivilized things anyone could say. How can you look at someone voluntarily CEASING THEIR EXISTENCE and think of it as a cheap way to solve their problems? Jesus christ.

People lose their ability for rational thought when they become depressed. No, it's not something they can control.

Let a mod warn me but I can't ask this simpler: are you an ass or a jackass, which one?

People do give out warning signs but they aren't always picked up, even by those closest to them. And some of them may not even be acted upon, which makes it worse.
