I was thinking the same thing about Mass2k6 before my internet came back. It wasn't great but entertaining.

lol... no dont explode, normally if I find a movie which isnt worth watching I wont bother posting it.. I suppose thats why every movie Ive mentioned on here is "worth a watch"

I seriously don't see a single redeeming factor about this movie! I'm usually pretty easy to entertain and not overly critical but this movie was just waste of time.

normally i'd agree but this is actually a really old movie that was remade, and i haven't seen either but i think the plots are pretty much the same??

that doesn't change anything though. the original was a save the earth/down with nukes/world peace movie, i have no idea what this one is but it's probably similar since the world is not saved and nukes and violence still exist and people seem to have a problem with this

apparently they were afraid of getting fox news et al riled up so they never actually say WHAT earth is doing wrong and how the love of a mother and child will stop it.

I saw this movie today, and there was just too much that was not answered, and that bothers me. It never says where the alien race is from and how they actually know about earth. Also, in the beginning when the alien race kidnaps that guy?(Keanu Reeves) What happens there? Do they just kidnap him and he becomes one of them or something? They never really explain much about the aliens, just that they want to save earth from being destroyed by humans. Also, the acting in the beginning of the movie was laughably bad, but it became tolerable as the movie went on. I didn't think this movie was horrible, but I wouldn't say it was good or great either. I thought it was alright, probably even more so to me because I enjoy plots that deal with alien races coming to earth.

That's what I gathered from the commercials.
The other reason for not seeing this movie is that I didn't end up seeing Quantum of Solace in theatre. If that's true, there's no WAY I'd pay for this tripe rehash-for-the-sake-of-lack-of-any-better-ideas movie

The original didn't explain anything about aliens either omcifier because it was not the point

Hey they never say what is inside that brief case in pulp fiction that bothers me!!! They don't say how the flux capacitor works in back to the future!! Too many unanswered questions...

the briefcase is on purpose, the flux capacitor is not a plot point but just a device to go back in time, and the aliens in the original were explained as being part of a galactic concensus that earth had to be examined as they had developed nuclear power and could be a threat to both their planet and others.

I don't really think its important where they came from. Besides, Keanu says that Earth is out of a handful of planets that can support life. So we're either to assume that they live on one of these planets or just travel through space on some type of ship policing the universe.

The best part of the movie was when they saved all the animals

They didn't kidnap him, you could see him on the mountain after the glowing ball or whatever vanished. It probably gathered information about him so that they could artificially create a body for later use.

Awsome I didnt notice that... thought they took him as well. So did the original continue on living or die there? Cause wouldnt the original have said something to someone about what had happened if he remained alive.
