haha the wikipedia article even says HE...HE SOLD OUT AFTER DELIVERANCE.

Quote
The poor sales of this critically adored album were attributed to an unclear classification of Bubba; it is believed that the album was too hip-hop for a rock audience and too rock for a hip-hop audience. He soon departed from Beat Club and began an association with Purple Ribbon Records, as reported on AllHipHop.com. His latest album, The Charm (2006), is much more conventional and as a result has generated impressive sales in addition to two hit singles ("Ms. New Booty" and "Heat It Up").

good job wikipedia.

panda i listen to loads of the same bands you do! they're not my all time favorites or anything but i love a whole lot of them and they're definitely up there!

i really don't listen to a whole lot of classic rock, though. the only "classic rock" i listen to a lot is hendrix. i occasionally listen to led zep, the beatles, the who, the rolling stones, and DYLAN if he counts. that's about it.

also BUBBA SPARXXX steel? is he even good? i've never listened to him but from all i've heard he is completely terrible!
sorry i just have this image of you rocking out to the allman bros. and lynyrd skynyrd in a pair of bell-bottoms and a hippy blouse

i find you p boring...

no actually i got in to a lot of noise/punk bands from reading kurt cobains journals lol. after reading them i started checking out like big black, pixies, vaselines, mudhoney, melvins, sonic youth, etc. from there i got into stuff like dinosaur jr and husker du and meat puppets and minutemen.

thx kurt cobain.. invading your privacy was very beneficial to me music wise. :)

he had very good taste in music.  also very diverse.  i wish i had picked up his journal earlier; i had already found out about a lot of cool 80s music/postpunk/rock shit by the time i read it but he put me onto some shit and i'd be that much further along if it hadn't took me years to......find myself......music-wise.  i don't really like the vaselines that much, or mudhoney, or meat puppets, but he was p into the melvins and i like them.  husker du/minutemen are good too.  he also liked marine girls iirc!!  cobain was a really cool guy.

ps i actually made a mixtape.  i dunno if most people are really into some of the artists on it or if you guys will enjoy it but it is fairly representative of my taste and that is what i was going for.  i think it is good.  some of it is probably p obscure but others like MODESTMOUSE//NAS aren't and it almost made me not want to put them on there but then just making it obscure stuff is kinda dumb and i don't like not being able to talk about really really good musicians just because people know they are good.  plus i really do not see much talk of interstate 8/illmatic but maybe this is because everyone knows they are cool albums.

yeah i just realized that fucks a lot of music blogs over.  like, they can use other services but all the old shit is worthless.  ughghhh this is probably gonna make it much harder to find shit for a while.  isn't rapidshare worthless now?

also sorry but the droogs track is of poor quality.  their shit is stupidly hard to find on the internet and the ONE ALBUM i was able to find was like 92kbps or something.  better than nothing i guess but yeah, they're not a very easy to find band!
