Well the Machines intro is pretty similiar to Peephole and they both change musical styles and tempo here and there.
The vocalist is pretty similiar to the singer in My Chemical Romance and I thought some parts sound Queenish also, some
stuff reminded me of mr. Bungle.
Haha, man we really seem to disagree on music here.

forgot that katatonia is scheduled to release one this year.  there is no confirmation that muse is going to do anything yet though, so don't hold your breath yet

Was Black Holes and Revelations Muse's last album? Cause I really didn't like that one.
I guess I'll check out their new one if they release one this year. Absolution and Showbiz
were pretty cool :P

yea that was their last it was okay but every muse album is terrible compared to origin of symmetry (and absolution is superb)

i cant stand muse man, something about them just doesn't click with me. ive seen them live and everyone was wetting their pants but i didn't think it was even that special. their newest single was fucking annoying black holes and blah blah

I thought people liked them for being cool live.
A friend saw them as well here in Sweden, but his expierience was kinda ruined
by the fact that 95% of the audience were screaming, horny teenage girls that
just screamed to look cool.

aaaaalso who likes bands for being good live.  this is possibly the worst reason i've ever heard to like a band who actively records albums.  whelp their music is completely subpar but....you should see the shows they put on

more like i have and SURPRISE somehow manage to still grasp the difference between being a good showman and being a good musician.  show quality has nothing to do with the quality of the music or the albums.  at least, not in the way you're talking about

I didn't mean people like Muse PURELY for their live stuff and man dude.
It's Live you'll actually see how fucking good musicians they are. Everyone
can sit in a fucking studio for years and make the perfect album, but only a few
can actually do that in front of thousands of people as well.
