@Sion: I don't really think the two styles mesh too well, but I much prefer the new style anyways. Maybe recolour the treetrunks of the Rudra trees to match the new one and see how that works?

A new hero rises to the task...

FORGET EVERYTHING! FORGET EVERYTHING!

Your characters have stats, but currently are lacking accessories.

Maybe you have to go here. Maybe you'll decide to never go here.

This game is huge btw

It doesn't work, he would have to edit the entire chipset for that tree to fit in. Even then, a simple recoloring will not do the job. The styles are too different.

Epic Monster Dungeon Explore looks very epic in a dungeon exploring way.

Last post by me in here for the next little while. Just figure I'd actually sort of... Make it clear that I'm not just making retarded maps.

Two maps and a video clip are enough for now. Time for me to buckle down and work now!

I'll make a devlog tomorrow while I'm at work so that I don't go Silver4Donuts on you guys.

I think your intro could use more text and cliches.

"They are the world trees. The life essence of the world."

I suggest pruning out, like, half of the text. A lot of it is redundant (eight spores, etc.). Also that's a lot of names to throw immediately at the player. I suggest saying "a farm country" or whatever instead of Angston--introduce it subtly later on if the name is actually important.

To be honest, I didn't watch the whole thing because it was just text on a black background and it bored me.

UPRC: First of all..great to see you make an effort to display "Yggdrasil" as the imense size it really was said to be! Looks great!=)
Second, I agree with Craze about the intro video. You should definatly cut it short by 1/3 or more! If not, then make it more interesting, with different backgrounds/maps, or more "cool" scenes!=)

Im finished with my sprite atemt of a game character!

Yeah Arulon, I've already planned out a bit more for the intro. I'll add more effects and probably some battle animations to convey what is going on better.

I like the intro a lot Uprc, it reminds me off the old zelda games intro.

4 minutes of scrolling text seems to be entirely too much.

I'm not so sure. Where did he come from? What are his motives? You're too trusting.

It's okay guys, relax. Jude has refined tastes (older women) and is an excellent sprite artist to boot!

I think that the text should be centered in the box in your first screenshot, but overall I like what I see. You do a great job with the RTP.

@Liberty: I'm just a side-view raft in a 3/4-view world... Otherwise, great as usual. I especially love the adorable little mini-chest and the neat transparency for the bridge. Great stuff!

@Liberty: With the characters being so tiny, I see no reason why the party leader can't be shown on the skiff.  It'd be nice to see her hope on and start sailing away.  Unless the party leader can change at anytime, then that would be a bit excessive.  And yeah, the text is kind of off-center for the item.

1st ever screenshot!

Mr. Blue's MisAdventures

This is a Semi-Platformer RPG. Most dungeons are platform-esque in view... but the battles work out like a combination of free moving tactical and turn based battles. Towns and other maps are typical overhead RPG view, but with a degree based movement system (rather than pixel or tile based), allowing full 360 degree movement.

I've written the engine in C#, using DirectX.

Wait. C# Windows GUI or XNA? It makes a different. Windows GUI is freakin' stupid to work with for actual games. But yea that's looking really good, a lot of polish.
don't mind me, just postin' after a few brewskies

AlchemyX: I like the Mario feel to it. But the graphics definitely lack consistency. Those green platforms are completely flat and 2D. The character, on the other hand, is somewhat 3D. The shading of the tree and clouds doesn't match that of the platforms. And those grasses are just ugly. The whole thing would look a lot better with a few adjustments.
