You think so? Well, how about this level of fog:

Just tone down the fog a bit is all Ephiam. The part of the map where it's just going up diagonally for so long makes no sense at all when you think about it. Try differing the edges a bit.

That chart-map is looking sweet, Lennon, imo. Perhaps a brown outline for the land where it meets the water? That could be controversial.

Regarding Ephiam's screen.

I don't think the fog is too much if it has a lot to do with the particular setting (if the fog has a story element to the mountain, etc).

But, if you're just using it as an overlay, to show how high up the character is, you might want to tone it down.

Well, here's the scene in action. It's the beginning of the game. A small bit of cursing, but that's it.

I like the font Ephiam. The Dialogue can perhaps be shorten a bit and some of the grammar can be tighten up. Other then that I thought it was nice. Music was a nice touch.

You might want to try and make the screen black and then show the overlay while reducing the transparency to what you want. I don't like seeing overlays before the actual maps. I'm probably just nitpicking here though.

Didn't Andrew already just say that to Laura's face?
I don't think the fog is too much, I think it's in a good place.

Just a little something that I caught. It should be "neither" instead of "either", it's always neither nor and either or. Also, is this based in medieval times or more of a magical current day? I know it's a personal choice, but it just seems a bit odd of a person from the age of knights and dragons to call someone a "fucker", though I could see "bastard" being said.

Oi, oi! Yeah, I missed that. Thanks for tellin'! And it's sort of a mix. Near-modern, but not quite current. I like doin'a  mix between the two, 'cause you can add alot more to it! Ha ha. Such as some modern language and terms, etc.

@Ephiam: That looks good right now, although I think a char in an RPG maker game saying fucking seems wierd right now, it'll probably grow on me once I see more. I'm guilty of the same thing with one character in Dreamer actually.

The tileset's fine and your character sprites stand out. Plus the message suited perfect with the character pic.

EDIT: It seems that you flipped the chara-pic. Originally, Cirno had her shoulder-thing on her left shoulder.

Oooo, I likey. Especially the character artwork you've got there. The style of the chipsets being used in that map also remind me of Ocean Blue's style, so I'm guessin' he did 'em, huh? And I didn't think the character was wearing a dress, but the sprite seems to indicate so. Looks more like a...long coat to me.  :hmm:

Ku hu hu. Everyone around here does indeed have a specific style. =P

I'm a page late, but I don't care. That's a great menu screen, Echopax.

Haven't been to GW for a while so felt like it was time to visit the screenshot thread again :) I really like that scene ephiam, but "fucker" feels like a weird insult.

Here's some stuff that's goin on in my project!

I spent ages trying to make a fast system for lights that don't go through walls but they weren't very fast, so I copied someone elses and it came out okay. Took forever to make it compatible with my game though^^

I think it makes the explosion a bit cooler?

Here's a screen with the com-link and some new facesets:

If you click the image you will be magically transported to my game profile!
I dare you to click it.

Seems awesome, but I really like to see that animated.

Woah... when/why did Lennon get banned?
----------

I wish I had better screens than this, but I just haven't gotten around to making any real updates (still trying to work on the flashback between Yilphruk and his old guild leader).

Essentially, the Mage Guild that Yilphruk used to be in many years ago had their old headquarters positioned in the forests to the north-east of Lefarnius. Sometime later, they decided to change their location to a small cavern deep underground and this place was abandoned.

Yes, these are two maps. The one that is based behind the house is mainly just there for show, but while the main hero is unconscious in the house I'm bound to have a small chat between the pirate and cat girl characters about how they truly feel about traveling with the hero (whether they care or if they'd rather be somewhere else).
-----------

The Legend of Zelda Rm2k3 Remake had a small bit of work done to it recently, and I've gotten to the point to where I'll have to change how the chipset is placed to allow me to make moving and disappearing trees/gravestones/etc. Also threw in a bit of coding that will change your hero faceset depending on whether you have the blue or red rings or neither equipped.

As you'll see in the first screen, I've got another chip that I have to rip from the game to finish the map.
