A shot from what is now called "Project Mirage". It's a shoe house.

That looks freakin great Simtor (Seems I have some graphical competition eh? :fogetlaugh:) also, it looks very original and unique, which is good to see. Can't wait to hear some more about Project Mirage, I'll definitely be following your progress.

Oh god, it's a giant shoe!

...

But I suppose I'm just stating the obvious, aren't I? Gah. Well, there goes my attempt at trying to reveal some sort of...hidden thing.

But anyway, that's a great stule you have there. I'm liking everything besides the ground, which seems a tad too plain. Everything else looks great, though, so great job with that.

Also...! One more video. HURRAH! Just a bit of me breaking the 4th wall through the characters of my latest project using RPG Maker 2003. And -gasp- it's not a NES-like game! Ahh!!! But I've posted videos before, so this shouldn't be a shocker.

Just the first boss fight and the dialogue in the battle.

How can you get the characters to get in that formation in RPG Maker 2003?! What's going on?!

Oh lordy. Forgot my actual response! Ha ha. Well, the font is for all to use! I posted the link to it in a comment in one of my following videos. It's the same font I used for Dragon Fantasy II.

EDIT: Oop. Looks like it didn't show up. Anywhoo, here's the font for those who want it:
http://www.woodus.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=12458&view=findpost&p=215121

Also, Zatham, just move your battle characters around in the "Battle Layout" tab. =B

Also, can I post these here? The video its self is new, but the game is rather old. What is it? it's Dragon Fantasy II! Probably my best completed game. And to celebrate its completion and finally say "goodbye" to the game I've spent so long working on...I've decided to post up the ending!

Part 1.

Part 2.

Part 3.

Or if you just want to see the credit/ending sequence, Video 3 is your best option. =B

sprites are rips for now :>
If an image says a thousand words, and a video shows 24 images each second, then why couldn't they condense everything I needed to learn at school into one hour long video :V

@Ephiam  I like the system but within the text "alot" is two words "a lot"

@K-hos  not too sure what's going on here, looks interesting though.  What's it made in?
Can creativity be consistent?

Ephiam, one problem I have with that font is that the lower case letters are a pixel too high and are wonkily offset with the upper case letters, so it looks a bit weird. That and the 'i's are far too wide. idk how you would go about editing it though.

I have actually gone insane this time and am doing a battle system. luckily it doesn't require many original ideas as it already exists.

coding starts tomorrow!

is this a good idea ??

@Killer Wolf: I really like the latest edition, except the same problem seems to plague him as plagues other characters I've seen you draw: without a dark border (possibly your style?) it's very hard to see them against the background. I suppose in motion this problem is somewhat allayed, but as it stands he kind of blends in with his background, which is definitely not good. I'd add maybe a darker colour of pixels around the edge if you don't want to use black lines, but beware of pillow shading, as it looks ugly. I don't know, I'd play around to see what looks good and stays in the same style you are using but has a little bit more contrast than what you are currently doing.

@Rockman: What are you planning on coding it in? Rm2k3? If so, then there's not going to be very much coding at all!

Kaempfer- It is not quite as bad full-sized and when things are moving, but yeah, that is one of my biggest issues right now. When I work on sprites, I have the background set to a dark red or purple, because my eyes have trouble picking the details out against a stark white. It probably skews the coloring because I essentially see them WITH a dark border as I'm working on them. I think I might try basing the colors off of a background wash that is closer to the dominant shade of whatever chip I'll be dropping the sprite onto the most - it should give a better idea of the contrast I'd get in-game.

@Killer Wolf: I like the style of those sprites, very nice job! I've noticed the no-border issue too, try working on that, I'm sure it will do good.

@Rockman: Looks good mate. Are you just gonna make the DBS look like that or are you going to make it as a CBS of your own?

Here's a little video from the ABS I'm working on in Sphere:

The town is overrun with Neo (yeah that's supposed to be a Neo sprite)!

What an unhelpful post... -_-

I'd say go for it Rockman, whatever's most appealing to you. =)
I also agree with B.I.G's question, will it be a cbs?  If not it may not be any different than most people's "FF styled" dbs.  Just a heads up.

Cripes guys, I wasn't saying coding an Rm2k3 battle system is bad, I'm just saying it's pretty much laid out that way from the get go! It wasn't meant to be helpful, it was meant to be inquisitive!

"here's a thing I'm making" "oh, what are you making it in?" "THANKS FOR THE TIP PAL" "???"

@Killer Wolf: That's a really nice sprite close up. Have you tried just using simple black to define the edges?

@Rockman: I would love to see an FF6 battle engine coded from the ground up to properly emulate it in the little ways Rm2k3 fails to. :x
