tomato's procedurally generated dungeon
still workin' on it.
You're way better than me at this... So far I have code for making a room, a person, and a monster. I haven't been able to make the person move properly(and because of that, the monster either). The monster and person are children of the room, so I don't know how I'm going to make it so they can leave the room... I started this like 2 months ago (granted I kind of got distracted and have only worked on it a total of 4 hours in that time but whatever).

Enough about me though, it's shaping up to be a winner! Passages look like they're working perfectly.  Each room still has four doors though, even if some are unused. That looks a little weird to me but it's not a serious problem. Good job with this, man!

yeah, it would be pretty easy to turn off the useless doors. It's all just a matter of adding stuff to the clean-up code. For placing enemies, I made it so it checks to see if the tile is a room floor or a hallway floor, and places them on a random room floor. maybe doing something like that for your game might help?

@K-hos: I personally see nothing wrong with the font! It's clear on my monitor I'm sure it will be clear on a PSP as well.

@Mr Weird Guy: I love it!

@Hiretsukan: What does that bar represent? What is the afterimage of the character for does it have a purpose or is it some kind of error? I like it so far and that megaman wall climbing is awesome!

@Tomato: Is that a dungeon generator? What are you making that in?

@Sanosuke: I find that screen interesting! Is that shop keeper only selling three types of potions or can you buy more stuff if you scroll down?

haven't been working too hard on making backgrounds yet, i'm waiting for school to start because thats  when the only thing I can do is draw stuff(its that or listen to teachers!). all I'm worried about now is finishing up my Master List of All Things Queststm, and working on sprites. i'd like to post some, but this isn't exactly the place for that!

expect Ultamate Caraty: the Unspoken by sometime the end of this year??? :shrug:

apparently touhou fans.

the characters from touhou had names? i thought it was just a bullet hell shmup with some random weird little girls riding broom sticks that shoots lazers(they're a dime a dozen in touhouistan).

Doo little for the huge screen size. This is RMXP, right? Unless you use a PixelBased movement script, it will feel weird... I think you could hjave made the sprites bigges.. Or used other maker >.o

It's game maker, and I am going to make the screen smaller anyway. Plus the maps will be big this is just a very small test.

the first game making program was megazeux, which was dos based and i guess i kinda couldn't let go of making graphics like that :fogetcrazy:

I was kinda aiming at DOS style for this as well

JMickle, that makes me imagine a game with sprawling blackness and empty areas dotted by little white and grey accents (be it objects or characters or a pathway leading through the void).
