Did they not teach you the part where loayalists would get dragged out of home, have the shit beat out of them and forced to leave town, abandoning their property to the revolution? I'll admit it's a huge stretch, but you could argue that british loyalists were the victim of terrorism.

they hardly founded the country, though.  i think stating it like it did was pretty misleading as it obviously implies REVOLUTIONARIES and not the people responsible for the trail of tears but either way it's a retarded post because none of us are bound by what unrelated people who happened to live in the same country did 150 years ago beyond anything more than a responsibility to make up for it.  saying we cannot call people terrorists in a negative fashion implies that we somehow APPROVE of it when our own country does it which is of course absurd and in general the post came off very heeyyyy its my first year of college

Well, there is the fact that our country was founded over 250 years ago and no one alive today had anything to do with it.  I mean, does this mean that no one in Germany today can call the United States or Israel imperialistic nations EVEN THOUGH THE SHOE FITS?

Guess what, guy:  the human race is good at war.  One of the most primitive instincts within every one of us is to destroy something that prevents us from accomplishing the perceived needs of our collective group rather than compensate for the needs of the group across the street.  War is how we, as a species, get shit done.  It's ugly and it's brutal, but I can pretty much guarantee that there isn't one square yard of habitable ground on this fucking planet that hasn't been fought over at one point or another.

Also there are plenty of modern examples that could justify your argument without having to bring up the stupid fucking revolution.  What's next?  You want a cart and a donkey?
