Well Im suprised no-ones made a topic of this awesome looking game.For those who haven't heard about it here is some info.

   The story takes place in some world of ruin.
   two gods have been fighting for eons.
Chaos the god of discord
&
Cosmos the god of Harmony
    until Chaos summoned a number of villains from other universes to serve him
   the two gods had a huge battle the little number of survivers from the good side have
joined forces to conquer the evil left in the universe and return order.

As you may or may not know the game takes main characters from all the Final Fantasies (not XII for some reason

) and puts them all as playable characters the few youtube videos I saw looked terrific Onion knight vs cloud of Darkness being my Favourite.

The game features:
Some of the best graphics I have seen in awhile on the PSP.
All your favorite characters from final fantasy.
a variety of game play modes.
Detailed and large stages(one for each character I think)
RPG Elements such as equiping weapons and selecting magic.
new costumes such as advent children cloud.

Well I would like to know your thoughts on this game and for those who played the japanese edition how was it?

I'm having trouble deciding if I should import it or just wait for the US release June 30th Seriously why so late

I also love FF characters so much I'd buy this just for them

Even Brawl had a better fanfiction story than this, seriously. It was like this 10 year old's dream fanfiction story where all his guys got together, hated each other and then became friends to take down the ugly bad guys.
This is like a 20 year old furry faggot's fanfiction where everybody somehow warps together and ask each other philosophical questions and cry for no reason while still somehow fighting baddies

Actually these both suck. Fuck.

but yeah idk if it's because I'm retarded or more because I am NOT, but I can't understand fights in this game at all

The only fight that I thought was too much flying was the cloud vs sephiroth one all they did was stand one meter away and start shooting balls of energy.

I don't get it, how exactly do you beat your opponent? because it looks to me that it's just like Super Smash Brawl, I don't see a HP bar or anything, anyone care to explain?

It's Kuja. From FF9. he was androgynous and shitty back in the PSX days.

No he isn't, he is way cooler then he will ever will be. If he didn't wear a thong he would be in the position of Sephiroth but oh well

I haven't played this game, but one thing that isn't disappointing is the soundtrack. Even though they are mostly arranges, SE apparently still knows not to take a dump on their music. But yeah this is just SE (as usual) milking from the FF franchise.

Also is that Zidane in pink. Please tell me they did not just do that.
By the way there was a topic on this like 2 months ago, I don't know why you made another.

Played it, it is... Really horrible. It is a really crappy button masher fighting game where every character has about... 4 attacks (when I say button masher I mean, you will mash the circle button for the entire fight, you could close your eyes and win provided you keep hitting the circle button).
Oh yeah, the physics in the game are even more horrible than you people have probably seen. Pretty much every attack combo you land sends the enemy flying like 100 ft into the air, when this happens time slows down, and you can jump 100ft into the air after them, then attack them. But they can evade that attack, and then they get an attack against you (which is stupidly easy to evade), and then you get an attack against them, and this repeats until an attack actually hits. The worst part it, it looks so much more stupid than it sounds, whenever a character evades an attack they will do a silly looking backflip. So you end up having both characters magically floating in the air, taking it in turns doing backflips for about 5 minutes.

It is basically Final Fantasy Advent Children, the game. Unless you are a major Final Fantasy fanboy, you wont like it. It's gameplay is incredibly shallow, and gets repetative very quickly.

I beat this game without equipping any item. I am glad I haven't learned Japanese yet because I would be bored to death listening about how much KOSUMOSU loves me and how much KAOSU hates me and how I need to defeat his burning ass.

EDIT: Also, I like the fact that it has naked anthropomorphic ladies.

lies! you mash circle until you have enough brave to kill them with a single square attack.
also the back and fourth air fight only last a couple attacks before ending on its own.

that said, yes its a shitty fighter and SE should feel bad for having made it... instead there will be several sequels and eventually spin-offs(of a spin-off?).

If you like KH, this is the game for you chainer
