Well neither is Michael Wickware but he has more songs in Shred than those other guys combined. It's not uncommon for movie makers to hire indie artists to do a bunch of songs for little or no money in exchange for notoriety.

If you do get the DVD, you can see in the end credits that he did 5 or 6 songs on there. The credit for the song 'I Like to Pretend' shows performed by Michael Wickware and words by Mike Bush (me).

I have to get to bed, some of us have lives to get on with. And I'm sure a certain person who started this thread doesn't appreciate you hijacking it to assassinate my character. So good luck with your hating. ^_^

notoriety

you didn't cover why you brought it up! "hey rone your name isn't listed" "well my real name isn't rone" your real name wasn't on there. i'm not disputing that you contributed, good on you for getting your song into a movie if you really did and if it's really valuable to you then it just makes steel's insult all the worse

Yeah it's a little valueable that a song I wrote is in a movie. but hey, everyone has their high points. You'll find yours someday.

i don't get why no one can comprehend what marmot is saying. you guys are smart people, i know that! utilitarianism is pretty shitty in general because its just like the ends justify the means no matter what. "hey guys look at this stronger society we have good thing it only took years of genetic manipulation and otherization"

also pretty much if you aren't living like a sudanese tribesman your life has no moral worth.

no matter what huh???  thats interesting because the terms the ends justify the means only applies to the small subset of decisions where something may have negative impacts in the short term but pay off in the long run.  maybe i am looking at this from an ontological perspective though LoL

ps we comprehend but marmot (and you, apparently) alternate between complicating what for normal people who haven't managed to completely remove themselves from reality is pretty simple, and grossly oversimplifying things that are somewhat more complex.

gratz rone I mean I never thought you'd make it. That guy that covered your song must be really talented huh? I mean he had to cover one of your songs because he didn't want to write his own...

jesus christ what compelled you to make those posts? I have no goddam idea other than some residual resentment at mkkmypet admittedly saying some pretty dumb shit herself in the not too distant past.

I know this is a little late but no I asked because it she's talking about what a druggie her sister is but that was her sister's choice, fucking heroin isn't something you just jump to at the age of 21 out of the blue because you're a curious teenage girl experimenting . And anyone knows heroin=bad so you've got to make a conscious decision at that point that "yeah I know what I'm doing and atleast have a basic understanding of what I'm about to start shooting up regularly".

I asked why no one saw that she was a heroin addict because seriously how the fuck do you miss someone progressively doing harder and harder shit while living in the same household? She did live with you when she started doing that shit right? I mean yeah she probably did it privately away from home but I'm sure she came home eventually and heroin lasts awhile from my understanding.

LOL got me

but when you have cost/benefit analysis you are pretty much just weighing negative impacts and positive impacts, so as long as the positive ones come out on top everything is set! for instance "oh yea when i raped that baby it was ok because he was about to stab someone and that stopped it"

and considering that pretty much all decisions have short and long term impacts i wouldn't really call it a "small subset"

edit: the entire justification of utilitarianism is pretty much just putting numbers on happiness which not only sounds like complete bullshit but also seems kind of dehumanizing

btw if you need to assign numbers to HMMM IM NOT REALLY HUNGRY MAYBE I SHOULD GIVE THIS SANDWICH TO THAT STARVING HOMELESS GUY OVER THERE, thats a problem with you and not with the idea that people weigh the consequences of their actions

also lol all decisions have notable long-term impacts in and of themselves huh.  i guess all decisions made are completely unethical in the short run but worthwhile in the long run???  god youre so bad at this.  well i decided to buy a cheeseburger, but the ends justified the means.  we both know that there are relatively few instances where this term applies in the grand scheme of ALL DECISIONS MADE so ya, small subset.  this is even ignoring the connotations one would associate with the ends justify the means.  as in, more WAR and less BOUGHT A CAR.

how is utilitarianism different from religion. you just assign some number to happiness (without specifying what you mean by that) and then say hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm its obvious, its reason! *ignores millenia of horrible stuff that sounded reasonable before*

honestly you people have no right to criticize religious folks
