I don't really understand this. Why would you go cold turkey with the internet? I can understand using the internet in moderation, but not using it entirely? That's a bit unrealistic in this age. Besides, if you're in college the internet is a valuable tool. Plus, what if your professors assign homework that must be done online? Or what about e-mails related to campus alerts (some of the are important, you know).

Good luck, but I think it's a pretty unreasonable idea.

Last year I considered switching from Computer Science to Software Engineering and I was literally just about to do it but if I did I would lose about 15 of the credits I earned in high school and I would basically fall an entire year behind. Plus I didn't like a lot of the classes that they would make me take, so I decided to stay in Computer Science because I was planning on minoring in Software Engineering anyways.

I'm pretty sure that Drule already said that he will NOT be naming it like 3 of those.

What makes you think that? There are multiple reasons for things not working other than someone breaking them. If your dog dies, does that mean you killed it?

If you think I touched the RAM when I took the hard drive out, you're wrong. The hard drive was at the very bottom of my case. It's probably the furthest from my RAM possible. If I had broken anything, it would have been my RAID controller.

Actually, I have a 3 year warranty on my motherboard so if anything else happens I will send it in. Thanks for the suggestion :D.

that doesnt change anything
It changes the fact that I don't feel like buying a new motherboard just yet if there is even a 1% chance of mine still working.

It turned out to be a RAM problem. My RAM slots must be messed up because I plugged and unplugged my RAM about 50 times and it finally worked.

I made the title simple, but this problem really isn't.

Here's what happened. So I've had this crappy hard drive for awhile now; it clicks, freezes my computer, files on it don't really even load anymore. So I took it out. This is where everything went wrong. I took out the drive and unhooked all of its data and power connections. Then I started my computer.

My computer now beeps with the following pattern:
<BEEEEEP> <Long pause> <BEEEEEP> <Long pause> *repeat*

I have an AWARD bios. So I spent awhile on Google trying to figure out what this means. I figured it was a RAM problem because I think I've heard this pattern before, but it didn't make any sense. The hard drive was far away from the RAM, the RAM was well seated and I didn't touch the RAM or even get close to the RAM. But every website told me different things. I've come up with a list of stuff the internet has told me is wrong (based on the info above):
-Could be a RAM problem
-Could be a video card problem
-Could be overheating of CPU

Overheating of the CPU was likely, since the past few days it has been close to 100 degrees here (F). So I decided to let my computer sit overnight. I pointed a regular fan at the fan hole on my case and went to sleep. I woke up the today and it was much nicer out and the CPU couldn't still be hot, but it's still beeping.

I've tried the following:
-Plugged the drive back in
-Reseated RAM several times
-Reseated video card several times
-Swapped out video card for different one
-Removed all but one hard drive
-Removed all hard drives
-Clear the CMOS
-Removed all USB devices
-Removed all add-in cards

None of this worked. I cannot try other RAM because I do not have spares laying around that work with my motherboard.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this or have any other suggestions for me to try?

After much use my laptop's touchpad has become worn down and quite smooth. It no longer has the nice textured feel that it once had. This is obviously expected, after all of it's use it's expected that it would eventually get worn down. My question is: is there any low profile cover that I can put over my touchpad that will give it back it's texture?

alternatively you could just buy a 3 dollar USB to PS2 adapter
If you do actually end up buying one of these, I recommend that you invest in a decent one $20+. I've had several different PS2 to USB adapters and a few of them have broken because of the poor quality (The USB head basically started falling off because of the weight of the adapter port, or something like that). Additionally, with these adapters, I'm pretty sure wireless controllers don't work; not sure if this is relevant, but I'm just saying.

If you want to make something else, stop trying to piggyback it on the success of a site that was based on something 9/10 people haven't even done here in like half a decade (Trying to make amateur games).
I completely agree with this.

I once dreamt that my children and my children's children would have a gaming world where they could post their crappy RPG Maker games! This dream has come to pass.

Some of the older versions have different review questions / problems in the back of them. A lot of people in a class I took last quarter bought older versions of the textbook, but when the professor assigned questions out of the book, they had different questions than the edition the professor specified to buy.
