In terms of my religious views, I have come to the conclusion that while an all-powerful God may or may not exist, Christianity is almost certainly false. And while it may seem that I have come to this conclusion bluntly, I can assure you that my stance came as a result of considerable thought. I will not attempt to reason for it, for that will not convince anyone. Instead, I will hold it to be self-evident outside of poor judgment, a psychological imperative, and superstition. I already waste enough time on the Internet as it is without condemning my sunshine time to pointless arguments on subjects with people with three times more indoctrination than processed thought.
I know, I know. My opining is just as stubborn as it is of those whom I condemn. But I'm tired of it. You would have to be an idiot to believe that the theory of evolution is false. You would have to be an even bigger idiot to decry natural selection. But that is what Christianity entails, and so shall be its end in my mind. Hermeneutics, bollocks. If you believe that dinosaurs existed alongside humankind, you are either foolish, ignorant, or Judeo-Christian*. And if you don't, but consider yourself the latter, then you have compromised your religion in the face of the opposition. I'm honestly not sure whom I respect less.
So this is the end of it. I'm not going to spend any more time researching, in the words of Richard Dawkins: "learned tomes on ruffled pantaloons and silken underwear" just so that I can claim that the Emperor is, in fact, naked. I'm tired of this shit and I am leaving these idiots to the own devices.
