so new vegas is pretty good but christ it's a killer. it takes so much time play, and I'm not used to that anymore. like with the last game I bought, Bloody Good Time, you can have a fun, fulfilling game experience in under an hour (average game is ~20 minutes, and I'd usually play around 2 and a half games). anything over that amount of time starts to feel exhausting. conversely fallout: new vegas is a time eater, the kind of game to which, as a freshman, I would have ended up losing my social life/any opportunity at achieving decent grades. it always feels like there's something more to do. so I do that and then I find some other stuff to explore and later I look back at my experience over the past hour and realize I haven't really done anything and I haven't really had any fun. I dunno if that makes it a bad game or not or if this problem doesn't even exist it's just me wasting too much time
