Gonna go ahead and stop you there. With the money you are about to spend on the add-on I suggest putting it towards new-vegas.

If you have the option, find someone with/ rent the GOTY edition of FO3 and use their addon disk to permanently install the addons to your game for free....

... because the amount of time it takes to get through them and the lack luster content for the most part does not justify purchasing them for the individual price.

I'm currently playing New Vegas myself. I stopped playing games altogether for months (save for the occaisional League of Legends matches) and now that I'm back in I didn't find myself missing it that much. Although I haven't 100-percented New Vegas yet I do have several saves throughout the branching paths, exploring lengths of each individual playthrough to damn near completing all of them (30-50 hours played in 3 instances, each with different skillsets just for kicks) and at the point I'm at now, it just seems like until I reach the actual endings, I feel like I've pretty much seen all there was to see about this game.

is that code for da:o and da2

still playing origins, I guess it got a little more entertaining. right now I'm at the circle tower. my inventory has been full since floor 1, and every floor after 2 I thought this gotta be the last floor but it just keeps on going

I forget why bioware didn't develop nwn2 so I dunno, but a lot of stuff in origins feels like a direct response to that game. some of the gameplay mechanics are definitely improved, though others feel kinda muddied and inarticulate in comparison

origins doesn't seem to have a day/night system, or if it does, it might use handful of set lighting schemes without transitions. it looks pretty good. I don't think I've ever seen a transitioning day/night system work particularly well.

I beat Dragon Age 2 yesterday.

I thought it was a really good game. It wasn't perfect, no game ever is, but it had some really good points and also some really bad points. A lot of the bad points are most likely a direct result of the sixteen month development time pushed onto Bioware by EA. Reused assets and environments are these major flaws, as well as some iffy quest design in the side quests.

Other than that though, I believe the overall art design was a huge step up from Origins (LOTR muddy brown) and the new look for Elves and Qunari certainly set them apart as a separate race from Humans. The storyline was also really well told, and it was a great change from the SAVE THE WORLD storyline of Origins. The politics and the societies of Dragon Age 2 helped the story immensely, and by the end of it I was kind of sad it had ended. The game had some really great characters.

In terms of gameplay there are some big changes but the combat is pretty much exactly the same, aside from some technical changes and the more "exciting" animations. The removal of the tactical overhead camera isn't a big deal unless you are using AoE spells, and then it's only a slight bother. Other than that it doesn't change much at all.

Started a second playthrough, running through as a Rogue this time. I'll do a third playthrough with Mage after that as well.

Ignoring the quality of Dragon Age 2 as a game, which I haven't actually played, the devs are a bunch of shitheels and I don't see how anybody can justify giving money to them. They rushed DA2 through development, and when it got panned by pretty much everyone, their employees got caught astroturfing it on metacritic and social media websites (probably because EA has a hilarious policy of paying dev houses based on metacritic scores).

picked up Parasite Eve off the PSN for $6

Debating whether or not to pick up Pokemon Black or White (not between them, debating getting the game period).  Does it offer anything beyond what Gold/Silver offered, other than new pokemon?

Got Mafia II during the Steam sale a bit ago and just started playing a couple days ago. It might have an open world look to it, but not an open world feel. There doesn't seem to be very much to do between missions besides dropping off stolen cars at the junkyard or port.

This opinion of Mafia games annoys me. Just because it has a city map doens't mean it has to be GTA.

The main problem with Mafia II is that it's too short. Other than that it's brilliant.

I think there is an N64 emulator for PSP but I'm not sure how usable it is.  I just remembered seeing a vid for one a while back.

GTA3 fog was awesome too. I loved the reverb sound engine they used too where you just had things echoing off the walls and the sound of triads going "It's no problem to kill you" or "In the navy!".

I had a Celeron 600Mhz processor and a Geforce 2when that came out. Drivey too fast = no loady landscape.

Yeah it can emulate some games at almost full speed with very little fuckups. Some graphical glitches seem to happen in Majora's Mask, which is the only one I've tested. It's completely playable though. Oh and the sound is really messed up for some games.

i cant play console or psp gta's anymore, after playing SA and 4 on PC, the atmosphere and everything is sooo much better when you have a decent view. Like, SA on console is blegh, and 4 on xbox or ps3 is like somebody smeared the screen with vaseline. Not to be a graphics snob, but stuff like that does kinda mess with the atmosphere and feel of the game, and 'as an artist'(how much of a dick do I sound?) the visual atmosphere is important. Not  to sound like a douoche, with many games the limitation is blahg blahg yeah ok, but with games that try to make am immersive atmosphere, the more advanced is always the better. For example, Half Life 2 would be terrible if it looked like duke nukem3d, because the game is soooo much about the atmosphere.

No ones playing Homefront? I was really into BC2 but the other day I unlocked the G3 (last unlockable weapon by level) and maxed out all kits so I got pretty bored, then I decided to get Vietnam and really enjoyed it for a few days then got completely bored so now I'm looking for something that has the same style as BC2 and a friend suggested Homefront so that might be my next purchase.

That was a completely stupid and off-topic post,But hey I typed it so I'l post it.
