Playing Gods Eater Burst right now.  Imagine if Monster Hunter was more accessible and was significantly more Japanese (aminé characters and the like).

It's pretty good, even if the story so far is fairly typical aminé campy melodrama, but it comes down to the fact that it's actually a fun game.  Better than Lord of Arcana by a mile, if anyone had any curiosity.

Also working on Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and Vagrant Story.  I've a bad habit of starting tactical rpgs, but I'm hoping I'll take TO to the end.  The story is engaging, the visuals are delightful, and the music is sublime.  It's definitely worth a play, if you're that sort of gamer.

So I picked up Pokemon Black.  Unfortunately, My DS won't connect to my network, which uses WPA encryption, and my DS can only access WEP encrypted networks(The DSi can, but my DS lite can't).

So im stuck using random wifi spots, if I can find any, if I want to trade my pokemans.

Learnt the basics of Dwarf Fortress today. It's not so scary when you get past the confusing as hell UI. Here's my current fort;

Yeah, multiplayer is bugged right now. Unofficial servers work perfectly so just filter them in the lobby and you can normally. Been playing multiplayer with rami and it's really fun. And single player campaign is the best FPS campaign I have played since Half-Life 2, it gets so awesome after the first third. There are some pretty annoying bugs though but it's still the best purchase since Uncharted 2 for me.

I tried playing crysis 2 but it gave me a headache because of all the megabytes (i'm a grampa apparently) and it wasn't that much fun. I played it on hardest difficulty like one of you finns told me to and it made it pretty hard to kill everything in places but still exceptionally easy to just stealth from cover to cover till you reach a checkpoint without killing anything at all. first person hider. very pretty tho if you're into that

I don't think it was that difficult but if it's too hard you can just play it on normal difficulty or veteran. And it starts to get a lot better once you get to the Lab Rat mission which is 5th mission in the game.

I started playing it again trying to stealth my way through the whole game. Not ignoring enemies but killing everyone without being noticed. I'm using the semi-automatic attachment with silencer which allows me to shoot 2-3 times before losing all the suit energy so I'm just killing everyone with head shots and stealth kills and it's pretty cool how different it feels compared to my first walkthrough.

I dunno about you guys but I didn't really enjoy the Crysis 2 campaign the areas seemed way to repetitive and so did the fire fights there wasn't enough variety in enemies or areas but I played it all the way through and it was ok but the story also confused me (never played the first).

Not much in terms of horrible creatures, I was using custom paramater things for my world for the tutorial I was following, so I could learn stuff without getting horribly slaughtered. I've started a new, proper world now though.

I've been meaning to start playing Dwarf Fortress, but yeah, everything looks so daunting, even after reading the wiki for a couple hours.  Going to have to set aside more time to figure things out for myself.

Get this pack: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=59026.0
And this tutorial: http://afteractionreporter.com/dwarf-fortress-tutorials/

It helped me get started. The pack has everything you need to start playing, including tilesets and visualisers, and the tutorial is just great for picking up the basics. There is some keybind difference between this tutorial and the version of the game in the pack, but it's easy enough to figure out. If in doubt, try the numpad.

Alright, thanks for the links!  I'll definitely try to sit down and learn it in the next day or three.

Man, I want to get back into Dwarf Fortress. I found a REALLY GOOD worldgen recipe years ago that generated 128x128 worlds, in which literally every second square had magma, flux, water, trees, sand, and bottomless pits/chasms, but the caverns update broke the old worldgen recipes, and I can't find any recipes for the newer versions. I tried using the piss-awful default parameters but they usually only generate 1 or 2 barely viable sites out of 65000+, and I always end up combing through the map for 25 minutes before giving up out of frustration
