Played through the Duke Nukem Forever demo. Was pissed that they just repacked the demo demo they showed at PAX, but I didn't care that much since my early access code was free. The game shows promise, but is rough in a number of areas. I hated the auto-regenerating health and two-weapon systems since they ruined the pacing. I really hope mods will show up shortly after release with a medkit system and the ability to carry all of the weapons. The graphics looked fine to me, I needed to disable the post-processing effects though, since those looked horrible. Overall, the game had a fun fast pace (when you weren't running back to swap weapons or sitting behind cover to magically regenerate your health) and there was a good bit of variety in level design, weapons, objectives, and enemies.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was leaked, it's just a demo build so there's only about 10 hours of gameplay there and the graphixx aren't polished but it's a pretty fun game. I'm a fan of the cover system and the new melee button, and the story doesn't seem to shabby either! Might end up being a pretty stellar game.

Graphics card decided to stop being retarded (I honestly don't know why) but I can play Call of Pripyat for more than 15 minutes now.

So I've been playing that and Killing Floor when my brother is online and with the occasional bit of Minecraft.

Just beat The Witcher 2. What an absolutely incredible RPG.

Next up in Mafia 2 (again), and then Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

So PSN is giving 2 free games (because they are idiots with security, basically) and I got Little Big Planet because I never played it but I always wanted to, but I also know that the "community" aspect which is supposedly the best part wouldn't really interest me that much. I played DDay's level for instance and that was cool, but I can't imagine just playing random people's levels unless they are super-high-rated or something. Anyway the game is pretty neat, I can see why it's a fan favorite. Actually now that I think about it playing other people's worlds is actually cool and fun, but I have literally 0 interest in building anything. I decorated my POD with like mushrooms and that's it and I don't really care it change it at all.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

Are you getting any other games?  Because I'm getting LBP since I never got around to buying/playing it and I don't know anything about the other options for my second game.

That nice I stopped making my other one since piston where glitch as hell (I could not get them to work right for long distances) maybe LBP 2 would be better for the LV I want to create. so maybe I will make more when I get off my ass and get LBP2.

I don't understand why people bother editing their inventory. Play classic if you just want free building. Also, use INVedit.

I'm hoping since I play it so little, all the diamonds I was able to duplicate (before the update that put a stop to that) will hold me off for a while (if not forever).

If I end up having to dip into the diamond block stash I used to build my house around that portal in the nether, then I'll know I'm close to needing an inventory editor. (If it does come to that, I'm thinking I'll modify that house into a crystal tower that spans every z level with solid iron railroad platforms in all directions.)

Also classic sucks. You'll never be able to build crazy railroad systems and massive TNT based devices, and getting enough of that stuff without an inventory editor is just an exercise in futility.

That's the reason I got LBP. I already have Infamous and the super stardust game is only like 10 bucks normally so between Dead Nation and Wipeout I'm probably going to pick Dead Nation because I don't imagine I'll play wipeout that much. I really wish they had ModNation racers because I really want that one but I don't want to buy it.

So I dunno. I just watched some reviews on youtube to see how i felt about them and I think Dead Nation is what I'll end up with.

It is a good game and has a good concept witch is pitting different Nation against each other US gots the 2nd slot and Japan has the first.

Dude yeah, ModNation Racers is a game that I really really want but only in the sense that I really want it without buying it.  It's not something I'd buy over any other game but if I could get it for free I'd play the shit out of it.

Every single video from that leaked deus ex beta makes it look like fucking awesome. I was skeptical at first but I'm pretty positive they might have made something even better than the original.
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

I really wish I'd have gotten it instead of Burnout Paradise. BP is fun and good to have as a "racing" game but I would probably enjoy MNR more, and it's better for multiplayer too. It's one of those games where I'd probably never use the editors or anything and maybe I'd race people online but maybe not. Every time I see it at GameStop it's at least $30 or $35, which just seems like too much.

Also I just picked up Bad Company 2 and I fucking love this game. The single player campaign is ok, it's fun and challenging at times but nothing too special (Battlefield 3 will hopefully be pretty awesome) but the multiplayer, oh man the multiplayer. I keep sitting down to play it and then all of a sudden it's 4 hours later. I've seen so many modern warfare and black ops that I kind of hate them. They are just kill/death ratio games that encourage camping and hero-style gameplay.

hahahah what the fuck

that's a coincidence, i just replayed it today for the first time in a while. i still like it a lot but this time what hit me was the ridiculous amount of rpg detail throughout the whole game, like the little pool shaped like a cross in kobe bryants tomb or suddenly realising that the song that plays after you beat jordan is a slowed-down midi version of 'sweet georgia brown'.

anyway i'm playing the original tomb raider game now. d-don't judge me.. if jamie can watch the x files for some background feeling of weird mysteries then i can play tomb raider to wander around strangely textured lo-res crypts filled with awkwardly shambling yetis and dinos...
the controls are annoying, especially the jump stuff, but i kind of like the strange level design. the first level is filled with really jarring and obvious holes and corridors in places you can't get to but think maybe you could if you tried, or strange floor angles made of packed ice, and lots of nooks and crannies that don't do anything. the movement/jumping stuff makes it more of a chore to navigate through than it has to be but it still feels uh distinctly unlike any other game environment made of just crisscrossing paths and so on. maybe thats just me or there's a ton of games which did it better which i haven't played but i can't think of much offhand aside from like isolated moments in n64 shadows of the empire icelevels or something. also idk strange open spaces of sudden carefully detailed lowpoly vine/shrub textures in a ruined temple/cavern place. narrow corridors suddenly opening up to huge + weirdly elaborate multileveled rooms. theres a continuing sense of it being just a little stranger and more evocative than it really should, considering.
