A friend at work got the swine flu during his vacation, was put in quarantine, missed his flight and had to rebook flight tickets. He's still there, but he's ok. Does it make me an awful person that I found it incredibly funny when I got the news? We're gonna buy him an "I survived the swine flu" -shirt when he gets home so he feels a bit better about himself.

Just read the news today and they said that during fall, there will be either 500k - or if unlucky (read: not enough vaccine) 5 million people walking around with the flu in Sweden only. That's like half of our population and it makes me slightly more calm knowing that if I now manage to catch it, I will probably not be the only one I know lol.

Yep they say 6% - 8% of the population will get swineflu with in a week and the numbers keep raising for 2 to 3 weeks afterwards in near future. Sounds pretty bad.

Man, what depresses me is that I actually knew the developer really well, we were pretty tight internet buds and friends and shit and yeah, then it was all of a sudden HE'S DIED, no foreword or forewarning from him at all or anything about pulling this gig, then when Carius and I eventually traced through the roots and figured it out and tried to talk to him about it (he popped online a week later) he became this total faggot and still is a real cunt to this day.

It's a damn shame.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.
