Is there any 3D modeling software out there that really is out of the box intuitive?  I'm really curious, I've not seen one that didn't have an at least semi-steep learning curve.

Basically? Anything that is not blender

Sketchup Autocad Rhino Revit 3D Studio Max, etc, you can learn to do something in them within 40 minutes or so but everything in blender works unlike anything else in the world, the file  opening dialogs work in mysterious ways, there are buttons with icons you have no idea what they do because they're just too cryptic, the font is smaller than this and so on. With everything else you have a button with a picture that tells you exactly what it does (ie in rhino you know it's for drawing lines because it has a line drawn on to it. In blender you have three buttons, one of them is a triangle, the second is a circle and the third a square, can you guess what they do?) and if you still don't know what it does the tool tip says it.

I don't get it how they can code those advanced constructive solid geometries procedural animations yet they have trouble making a decent UI. Why not just clone 3D Max? I tried blender 2.5 alpha and it sucks a little less but it still sucks a lot (UI wise)
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

I'll not TAKE ANYTHING you write like this seriously because it looks dumb

the concept of applying the fixed height and the horizontal, single-direction level design of mario to a long surface isn't bad but it's barely realized here. in other words you can tell this is a gamer's design

I assume it's a similar technology to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCCx7zANsGE

Blender is a free software and attracts all sorts.

whining and rudely making demands from volunteer developers is just great.
obviously the old ui had a steep learning curve and the complete UI overhaul had been planned for some time but it's a colossal task.
he ended up getting his wish.

I made some ridiculous request on Audacity forums like 'hi can I zoom in in the EQ window so I can adjust by individual hz and like 0.00001 of a decibel just like the main window' but it's an official proposal in the audacity wiki now I think

I like the way Dominos has started marketing themselves lately.  It's so horribly and undeniably desperate.  First they go "HEH, OUR OLD PIZZA WAS DISGUSTING AND TERRIBLE, HERE'S SOME PEOPLE SAYING SO.  BUT GUESS WHAT?  WE CHANGED IT.  AND NOW IT'S GOOD.  EVEN THOUGH WE JUST ADMITTED WE WERE FEEDING YOU TOTAL SHIT BEFORE."   Now they say "MAN, WHEN PEOPLE PHOTOGRAPH THEIR FOOD, IT'S NOT REALISTIC AT ALL.  HERE'S SOME ACTUAL PHOTOS OF OUR INCREDIBLY AWFUL LOOKING PIZZAS.  CHECK IT OUT.  WE'RE NOT LYING TO YOU ANYMORE."  It's the most absurd marketing technique I've ever seen but it's coming from a place that thought Oreo Pizzas were a good idea so...

btw my dad ate one of those oreo pizzas once because he got one for free from someone, and he took one bite and almost threw up.

listening to hawkwind/space ritual/nik turner/robert calvert constantly, i am beginning to grow tired of music which does not contain random beeps and bops and space noises.

Mince, copy 3dsmax ui?? I hate 3dsmax's ui! Modo, softimage or c4d are better ideals.

I like blender's(2.5) ui a lot though so you can just shut it and smell my blender dust buddy.

Does anyone know of any websites/ways to make money online? I'm not talking about $1000/day!!! SIGN UP NOW!! stuff, but I cannot find a job at all and I'd like to have even a little money before I move for university. The job situation is p bad and nobody will hire me for short-term stuff, but yeah, any legit way to make even $5 a day would be cool. idc if it's tedious and boring.

ps im not looking for this instead of a job, but until I get one why not

there is some totino's pizza roll commercial now that is completely epic and has a complete 90's mentality like kids being kids and all rad and stuff and cool kids like totino's pizza rolls and they're saying all the stuff they like to do as kids which only totino's pizza rolls can provide them with the energy to do so and like some kids say a bunch of shit and then this dude comes on and he's like AND JAMMING TO OUR FAVORITE BANDS!!!!!1 and he says it with the perfect amount of phlegm/nasally it sounds like he did EXTENSIVE RESEARCH on commercials like this during the 90's and is stealth trolling everyone
