I had my family draw homer a while ago and they came up with some really weird stuff. my dad has probably seen almost every episode of the simpsons and he's good at drawing but even he couldn't do it. I guess all those 3D homers on youtube aren't really that bad

talking to someone online:

"we are being taken over by progressive liberals who want to transform this country into something we have never seen b4."

"get educated and learn people please, God was part of our constitution...He has been taken out by both parties and we will fall if we don't wake up."

"u need to research...u are being spoon fed by liberals who have erased your history...did u know we had 36 founding fathers who were black?"

rabbit pee has literally the worst smell any animal can naturally produce

Cover rabbit poop with chocolate. Give it to enemies.
Play Raimond Ex (if you haven't already)

It's a game created entirely out of clay and cardboard, which is a rather exciting prospect.

The thing that weirds me out about anime more than anything else, is that anyone can easily identify one by just looking at it, but if you try to come up with some kind of rule or criteria to distinguish anime from something that is not anime, someone can always point out at least one anime that would not qualify as anime under that rule.

It kinda baffles me how everyone just knows from their own intuition that this entire country/culture produces everything using the same visual stylistic qualities, but absolutely nobody can prove it outright by saying "All anime looks exactly the same as each other because they all have X, Y and/or Z". (I can only assume there is this type of secret venn-diagram of arbitrary stylistic rules the entirety of japan operates under. Where something drawn by japan can qualify as 'anime' as long as it crosses over at least two or three of those rules, while not strictly adhering to them all. That way, each one can use a different part of the venn-diagram so that outside observers can't outright figure out the secret formula that tells all of japan how all their drawings are supposed to look.)

"I would be totally embarassed to write this, even as a fakepost. it's not funny except in how you seem to think it's good. look at all the redundancies, for fuck's sake. "insipid semantics, despicable mediocrity" ugh gross gross. I want to take a shower every time I read your prose." -Steel

I vaguely remember I said something half-seriously like 'Russian language has a word for light blue what if Russian people see/think in RGB while English speakers think in RBY' etc. that probably isn't true but I read an article apparently it seems like Russian speakers can differentiate shades of blue better because they have light blue as one of the main colors

uhhh, we've got a whole bunch of colour words? cyan turquoise aquamarine verdigris teal etc etc etc, i'm not sure the two word 'light blue' would offer anything more than a single word would. probably the opposite in fact, since most people would be able to tell the difference between light and dark blue, but it takes a lot longer to differentiate between maroon and burgundy
I USE Q'S INSTEQD OF Q'S

I remember that post ragnar, you were talking about Japanese though and I think it had something to do with the musical scale? that is very interesting though. English speakers are gimped in their color identification I guess. We need more primary colors!

those aren't exactly primary colors though. Like I think what ragnar is saying is russians don't look at light blue and say "hey that's ***** which is light blue!" they just think of it as whatever their word is, whereas we don't necessarily walk around pointing out cyans and turquoises as anything but secondary colors (secondary to blue)

Well then that's not RGB vs. RBY, that means we think in RGB and they think in a fragmented version of RGB.

I know but it's hard to understand what somebody's saying if their explanation doesn't work.

it's got nothing to do with RGB or any color scheme really. btw weren't green and blue called the same thing in Japanese for a while?

speaking of color schemes what's with that Sharp commercial 'we got RGBY TVs :)'
