So if somebody offered me $1000 to suck their cock vs. $100, it would be a worse scenario?  The thing is, it all boils down to a choice and an individual's morals, priorities, and prudishness.  If a woman doesn't want to dance naked in front of people, she shouldn't do it for any amount of money.  There are other options for work out there that may be much less lucrative, but you can make your way just like any other average-looking dude does.

I'm not saying this affects the moral choice, but Drule said (or at least it sounds like this is what he was saying, maybe I completely misunderstood this) that this means that they must like it.  However, I think that makes it LESS likely that they like it, because you'd be more likely to be taking a job you didn't like if you got a hell of a lot more money for it.

when i used to live in the "ghettos" (Scarborough Ontario), I had a friend who lived with his mom in my building, and many nights i'd sleep over at his house because his mom had to work at nights. Sometimes he'd just crash at my place. I was 8 at the time and was always wondering what his mom did all night. After I moved from there and grew older, I randomly asked my mom once what his mother did at night. She told me she was a stripper at a strip club near by.

And that would be the dancer's OWN shortcoming.  Sometimes people make dumb decisions when piles of cash are at stake.  They know what they think is right, but they compromise.  I've known both girls that had fun stripping and those that were making a compromise (and ended that line of work very quickly).  I really don't respect one more than the other based on that because it's their own judgement call.

that's different from going to a strip club. a strip club is entertainment, so you actually are there to enjoy yourself. the people you are watching perform might actually come out better off at the end of the transaction, like what drule said about rich strippers, but even if it's the best, most fair and least disgusting strip club in the world it can't really change what transaction that is going on. it is paying for basically a performance of really softcore porn - tell me if you see it differently, because i can't, really. what i think makes it worse than porn is that it requires an actual person to do the same performance over and over again for you, and the assertion that it qualifies as legitimate entertainment. i watch porn, but you aren't going to hear me call it 'adult entertainment', or ever pay for it. i won't even defend it, i don't think. it is just a way for me to get my stupid little kicks that i think is the easiest and least ugly way to do it. even then it's still pretty ugly.

it isn't the same as going to see another kind of entertainment like film because films are (or can be) made with some thought, care and can be important to the people who make them - when they aren't, a film isn't fun anymore! even aside from the problem as to whether the stripper is having any fun, why the heck would the customer be having any fun? the only reason i can see is that they are satisfied having their entertainment being very shallow and thoughtless, and don't mind the very real possibility that what they are doing is exploitative and the only reason anybody is there is money and tits.
