lol so 7-Eleven was selling Buzz Cola for a while? I saw some in the local 7-Eleven but it was sold to promote the Simpsons Movie so yeah I was afraid to try it. It isn't anything special right

jesus that movie is already 4 years old? I think I kind of had a time warp the last few years of college. Lol I listen to fast intense music because my time perception is all screwed up feels normal speed

also they had coffee mate there and it had a little equation (Drake Equation) that one squeeze of the nozzle = one packet/tub/whatever you call those things you peel back of coffee flavor but it wasn't obvious right away what they meant the drawing to be I thought it was a drawing of a hazelnut b/c hazelnut coffee flavor and I was like how did they figure out one squeeze is equal to exactly one hazelnut? I don't think I've ever actually eaten a hazelnut only as flavoring in other things I think hazelnuts are made up

spent the past half hour listening to various singers versions of 'The man I love' and it's pretty funny how you start with something powerful like Billy Holiday or Anita Day and then when you get to people like Barbara Streisand it's soo stale and clinical. YAY FOR ELEVATOR MUSIC ASTHETICS

this YOUNG INDIANA JONES VERSION has more of an impact than the Streisand version :fogethuh:

Young Indiana Jones is knida suprisingly WATCHABLE, and has some good people in it. It sucks how it's all 'lets see indy meet a bunch of famous people', but as it was made in the dark ages(1988-2005, the period without new Doctor Who episodes being made), it was prettymuch one of the best family tv shows around at the time. And is actually much more enjoyable than the movies. I'd kinda say it's a less enjoyable Tintin(because NOTHING is as enjoyable as Tintin), but it is worth a watch. Straightforward episodes with no real pretense or allusions to being more than what it was (a cash-in on the indiana jones brand), and I think that allowed it to become BETTER than it eperhaps SHOULD have been?
The WW1 period is quite fun, apart from the stories where Indy finds a love interest because they are so boring and formulaic. But yeah, for what is just simple fun, check out the young indy series. Phantom train of doom is absurdly solid.
Also, the series introduced me to the majesty of Paul Robeson and his impossibly powerful voice. And surely ANYTHING that introduces ANYBODY to Paul Robeson is an amazing thing?

Are you gonna bum each other dressed as animals?
No, he's straight.  :P

And yeah, hazelnuts are real.
Everyone has the right to be himself; wise men know how to,when, and whether to navigate the boundary between their rights and those of others when they collide.

essays suck. I'm doing a 6-8000 word one about the use of monsters in fine art, and because it's mostly interpretation, I only so far have 28 quotes/references. Which clearly ain't enough. With like three weeks or so till the deadline, I'm just going through books/internets and getting random stuff to cram in.
It obv can be done, plenty of time but man it's annoying.

http://www.npr.org/blogs/krulwich/2011/01/04/132622672/could-it-be-spooky-experiments-that-see-the-future

Long story short: An acclaimed professor of psychology from Cornell has released a paper where he claims to have found evidence of future events affecting people back in time ie. time warp weirdness/psi powah/ESP. I don't know anything about the field but sounds like it's being taken at least half seriously, apparently because of the authors reputation and how the tests are properly designed and easily replicated. They're replicating them right now, I read one article where they failed to get anything statistically significant.

I love the premise of the experiment.  People want to see porn so bad that they will involve time travel to do it.

there was also a research thingy where some guy did DMT and supposedly he did like COMPLEX MATH stuff that people can't even do in their head sober and it's supposed to be proof that the people he hallucinated are real and more intelligent than humans and decided to help him with his math problem

hey speaking of the real Papa John's those commercials they do are so weird they do these freeze frame shots and they do it at like the exact wrong time and I don't know he'll be tossing a pizza and it's either just wrong frame of animation during the pizza toss or maybe when people professionally do stuff like that they toss a pizza like 100 times because it's faster action than the frames of animation can capture but most people don't know this and so they had like one pizza-tossing shot and they had to use the frame that most looked like the cool freeze-frame/capture shot in their head

Edit: I might've mentioned this before

also whatever lol porn can see into the future please don't become like one of these guys at the library actually library is pretty ok people are looking up Wikipedia articles like "The Battle of something" actually attempting to learn it is mostly facebook flash games etc. though it is seriously either that or someone looking up illuminati DO YOU ESP with no inbetween so yeah I don't doubt this stuff entirely open mind and all but as a matter of fact the way actual people embrace the concept it's like did these people not get to play enough RPG's as a child it's basically rpg's for adults/computer boredom version of religion (religion is basically a big RPG plot anyway you know the storyline is awful but it has a certain specificity to it that makes you want to waste an hour or two on it on the weekends (lol sorry that was really harsh))

internet is really interesting in that aspect like I remember that episode of the simpsons where it's like 'usually when homer gets an idea like this he gives up in an hour when he finds something good on TV' internet is like the polar opposite as far as trajectory of stupid ideas you wonder if the youtube conspiracy people would give up in a WORLD BEFORE INTERNET like just run out of steam when there is no conspiracy-oriented programming on the tv/always have been conspiracy-related books but reading is too much of a pain in the ass/scratches butt

I feel really weird though at library it's like even more annoying than reading crappy youtube comments/etc./imagining someone actually taking the time to post something like that. Library thing it's sort of highly personal and also it's like a live feed of exactly how long people spend their time on things/everyone begins to look like uilllillliia. lol he's just holding up the mirror to society how is he much worse than people who have like 9999 hours on Farmville
