Coin Youth

this sounds like some sort of obscure 80s coin collecting manga

I get sick like once a semester even though I try really hard not to. drinking soda and watching cartoons is secretly all I want to do with my life but I can't gulp the soda right now because then I'll just upchuck it. Etoile Cement Sugar Works

as I mentioned before, besides the actual pains of being sick it's kinda fun I get to stay home, drink soda and watch cartoons!!

Man, I know it. I had the flu in October '09 for the first time since I was maybe 10 years old, and whenever I hurfed up a glob of nasty yellow fluid from the back of my throat into a tissue, I thought to myself "heh, man, this sure takes me back!" instead of wailing and cursing my godawful diseased body. I sat around all day in my sweaty pajamas with an insane fever watching The Halloween Tree on TV and was pretty much totally okay with life.

I've not been properly sick (like, sick for more than 24 hours) in years and in a way I feel like I almost MISS IT because yeah it is nice to be in that frame of mind where you're like "I need to be on the couch in my pajamas watching some sort of throwaway TV all day long immediately".  I mean obviously I could just do that on the weekends or something but there's something different about it when you're properly sick.

Agh, the past 5 days I've spent my time doing nothing but debugging other peoples code that is poorly commented and needlessly complex and slow. In a coding language I can't stand (Action Script). Yesterday, 13 hours STRAIGHT.

EDIT: This is pretty much the reason I haven't posted in a week.

On a side note, I've spent far to much on Magic Cards as of late. Much of them unfortunately not very good. Don't think I'm ever buying a booster box again, I'll just stick to singles.

I used to do solely ActionScript when I started working as a web developer, for about two years. I've seen and written my share of poor code. But actually I think it's pretty fun to debug bad ActionScript code because by now I recognize all the common pitfalls, misconceptions and ways people will cut corners, so it's usually not very difficult. I'm still occasionally, but increasingly rarely, being asked to fix stuff.

gah the news is so surreal it's just commenting on the best super bowl commercials lol Darth Vader kid it related to my life so well it's almost like commercials are made/conceived by human beings or something. The Groupon commercial is wtf though can't help but think it's like trying to do internet advertising but on the TV buy auto insurance (picture of guy that looks kind of like Jesus w/flashing lights) but they forgot that TV/standards exist somewhere

hi so this probably belongs in thecatamites/bonzi might like topic but I bought this tape from a garage sale and it's like from TURKEY or some country (text on the tape is in Arabic) and it's supposed to be a copy of Enemy of the State except it's all bootleg-looking and I was hoping for Enemy of the State with Arabic voice-overs and/or subtitles from the wrong movie/porno movie but it turned out it was rerecorded over like 20 times and now it's some random Arabic movie some comedy I guess with guys going to Arabic disco clubs in 2011 to dance together because we must not dance with the women that will show them. It's also like I said 3033093509th-generation tape so it's really weird and distorted and this shot of a cat was kind of terrifying in some way because it was so distorted it didn't even look like a cat. but the cover is awesome also because there is some mismatched captions on there. The description of the plot is right but the tagline for the movie is completely random and bizarre

Man Ragnar that sounds so great.  You should rip it and put it on youtube I'd watch it.  I want to start going to garage sales/flea markets looking for VHS tapes I believe to be recorded over and ripping them.  I have lots of them at home but none recorded over in funny ways except for my brother's pay-per-view porn that suddenly cuts to 90s wrestling.

^ I tried to PM you about the new Sailor Moon game coming out in Italy, but apparently you blocked my message.

Uh no I didn't?  Maybe my inbox is full, a lot of people had that problem when we changed over to SW (I thought I cleaned mine but maybe not???)

The thing is I already know about it.  It's safe to assume I know everything there is to know about Sailor Moon.

there's a setting you have to change to allow messages from all members, and it's off by default since the new forum

yeah. I or someone else brought it up before but I guess it can't be changed until the new skin or whatever. it also doesn't save your sent messages by default and they aren't quoted in replies anymore

I already removed the PM inbox size limit if I recall correctly, and I also turned on the outbox function for all members just now. I coudln't find anything about PM blocking/blacklisting though, so I'll look into that later.

Remember those old Final Fantasy fansites where the site was a "town" and the different sections were represented by buildings like the "INN" that you had to click?
