Hey our society has it's evils but we should be able to agree that we're better off with it then we are with nothing. That's not a reason we shouldn't try to fix the shitty parts but people are shitty that's why society is shitty. I think we're getting better though. Just twenty years ago people wouldn't bat an eye at this happening but now all the morally righteous old women and Dr. Drew were talking about it in between the michael jackson bullshit and the latest alleged killer parents, so middle america is pretty pissed.

Remember that whole Janet Jackson nipple thing that happened like 8 years ago? Apparently the court case for it just settled. That's stupid beyond measure, and it really irritates me how fucking stupid our country can be, but I believe it ended with them not having to pay anything. Really? What a fucking waste of time and resources, this is going on in the court system while rich mortgage-lender-banking assholes keep getting raises. People are fucked, society is fucked, delete universe.

a massive part of the legal system i just this giant engine of cash flow where trivial crap gets blown so far out of proportion so the lawyers can keep raking in money and charging for inane shit. It's hardely a secret that they stretch cases out for as long as possible to get more money.

A few years ago, the shop chain Tesco won a suit against a newspaper and charged them legal expenses (towards the hundreds of thousands of pounds). On the invoice it had things like "watching bbc news piece about the case" and "reading newspaper".

I went through a stage of that, but now I'm back on the whole "Well it's TV that I can zone out to" so it's all good. Paolo has really gone off both of them though.

I do find that, while South Park handles some topics with sensitivity or at least kind of ironic satire, some topics it acts extremely prejudiced towards. I know their whole stick is "We make fun of everyone", but there's a difference in how they do it. For example, sure they make light fun of Jews and Judaism and I wouldn't ever describe them as anti-semitic by any means, but look at their handling of issues like gender confusion and transsexualism and shit. That's hardly the gentle ribbing that Judaism gets in the show really.

Other than that though I am still all up ons the Butters episodes and shit.
