also i am continuing my musician PC game kick with "Duelin' Firemen", an unreleased 3DO game featuring Steve Albini, David Yow, Timothy Leary, Tony Hawk, Rudy Ray Moore, Terence McKenna, the Boredoms and the president of the church of the subgenius among many others.
"Duelin' Firemen! (Runandgun! for the 3DO ? Not released March '96)
The Hype: Singing firemen. That's right, singing firemen. In this full-motion video outing, Air Force One crashes into the Sears Tower, setting all of Chicago ablaze. Emergency personnel have abandoned their posts, so it's up to the player, in the boots of the fire captain, to find "buildings that are not burning, where the captain and his crew quickly create an intricate dance accompaniment to the captain's musical selection of choice." If a rival brigade shows up in the same building, "Watch out! It's time for a hoedown!" To win the game, you have to score a contract with a Japanese record company. We are not making this up.
What Happened: This one will remain one of the great mysteries of vaporware; staffers at 3DO could only offer guesses as to why this game never materialized, and the developer's phone number is no longer in service. Was it the 3DO's demise as a platform? Did the game's student developers run out of money? Or maybe everybody suddenly realized that they were making a game about singing firemen? The world may never know."

Duelin' Firemen is a "fantastic and amazing story". You asked about Bon Harris? He's the lead singer of the band Nitzer Ebb, he's very cool. He could be anywhere in the world right now. Lee Groban? He is this Rastputin wizard who's best known for the World's Longest Poem. I don't think it's more than 5,000 pages. Go visit his website at-

I met the Run-N-Gun folks at a "Screen Magazine" function. We all kinda knew each other from the television graphics community. I worked at JBTV Music Video Show down the street. I remember meeting Dave Foss, he came over to JBTV a couple times and did some experimental animation on our massive 5 foot high 1 inch tape deck. I remember him hooking up with the Run-N-Gun crew soon after that, and the zany adventures began.
They set up shop in a big Warehouse. They lived there in kinda of a MTV reality show before their was Reality shows! Game animators are unique creative eclectic crazy people. Just my kind of friends! I used to love going over there. You never knew what was going to be going on. They were always rendering something 24 hours a day. I often came out of JBTV at 2am and I'd go over there someone was always up at any given time playing "Pong" or "Space Invaders". They always had the BEST parties!! I never could figure out how they knew so many people from all over the country!
In my spare time I worked on my own Project called, "The Wheelie Circus". I did crazy stuff like try to ride my motorcycle up the stairs to the Duelin' Firemen set. I used to have a snowmobile but no garage to store it in so I kept the snowmobile in the back of my pickup truck. It went wherever I went, to the store, the bar, everywhere. I had snow gear behind the seat so I was always ready to GO.
